It's still morning and sunny, 50 degrees on the deck and 41 degrees out front in the shade. It is going to warm up nicely in Athens today.

But it was a great day to rake the leaves!
No frost this morning, 40 and cloudy. Going out for a walk.
34 here but no frost yet. Tomorrow cloudy and rainy with a high of 58 but Wednesday will be sunny and 58 - a big improvement.
It's cloudy here, too, this morning. There will be no sitting in a patch of sunshine for either me, or the cats.

43 this a.m. I guess I'm taking the middle ground LOL. It's supposed to rain pretty much all day. Chance to catch up inside. Housework?? not a chance! I have seeds to pack and put away, a secret Santa project to work on for round robin, dahlia tubers to label, photo files to clean up...
Frost this morning: first time! 31 degrees at 8 am; supposed to get up to 45 later. Sunny right now but a few clouds beginning to come in. Bar: steady at 30.33 ; humidity: 69%; wind 1 mph from the north. Visibility: 10 miles.
Still have a lot to do out in that chilly garden!!
Hi folks!!! I know I have been MIA for the last week or so. I don't really have much to report on - my gardens have now gone to sleep. We had a bit of snow this past week - no accumulations but it did get pretty freaking cold!!!
UGH!!! Anna saw little white snow flurries as she went
out to start her car before work this morning.
The sunset times are so depressing. I'll close the blinds by 3 PM to try and delude myself.
There is no use is delusion I have found.
If it soothes my disposition it's worth closing the blinds.
38 and raw here. Completely overcast. Drizzle in the forecast.
Snow!! Yayyyeee!! I love Snow! Nice, white, fluffy Snow! Yipeee!! I wonder if they have penguin feeders in Alaska!
- No snow here yet though...
Temp 48°, Wind S 0.0, Rh 58%, Baro 30.00↓, Dp 33.6°
*Overcast, very still, even the birds are quiet today
- Planted 60 tulips today, never enough! I know I'll get more in the spring so I'll wait and cut my losses - gotta get some snowdrops (bulbs), before winter sets in... speaking of winter, 40 days before the official start.
Bummer.
i think it is warmer here now than it was when i walked to school this afternoon.
never saw the sun once today. blah. the temperatures have been in the 20s at night for several nights now, so pretty much everything is gone.
Is it unofficially always winter then?
Yes, except during official Winter.
Then it's unofficially summer, I'm almost a weather guy.
Yes - that's looking on the bright side of things. BigcityalRoker.
I couldn't afford the classes on spring and fall. David Letterman was a weather guy - now he has his own show.
Did he do a top ten day forecast??
I don't know, I've only seen a few snippets of it. Indianapolis I believe.
Funniest weather tricks?
Daylight savings in slight of hand I believe.
Stupid weather tricks, Pirl. I guess Ben Franklin would qualify for that!
Daylight savings time starts March 9th. I don't look too anxious, do I?
Al it depends on how old you are; if you are grumpy & old then its unofficially winter except when its summer, if you're happy & young then its unofficially summer unless it's officially winter. Of course you have 'those' who are always young at heart who mess things up!
I fit in to the 20-60 age category nicely.
I think you're one of 'those'. Count me in that list too!
Wow, it's 47 now with a high of 56 and some sun later, I didn't need to dig out my gloves afterall.
rainy but warm for PA. this am, 48 degrees, guess I'll have to put the cover back over the snow blower.
It's 36 here this morning and raining. Parts of the state are on an advisory for freezing rain and some of the Northern parts are getting snow. I'm just happy to be above the 20's this AM.
Raining now and 50 but sun is due for this afternoon. Still no frost. Roses, one iris and dahlias still blooming.
