All the snow has melted here. Just ice everywhere. Glad we don't have church services tonight, our road is muddy and slushy. Well got to go fix dh a bite to eat. Dori the lilies are soooo pretty :o)

Holy cow...it is a pea soup special in our neck of the woods! It has rained all afternoon too...what a mess. If this keeps up there will be some delays/cancelations tomorrow!!

We went to town this afternoon (out of gas...and had to fill up!) I'm glad to be home now. Keep safe everyone

AuGres, MI(Zone 5b)

It's been raining all afternoon here. We still have lots of snow left though. It is foggy. I have to praise the heck out of my two little dogs to get the to "go" when it's raining. The boy dog is good but the girl dog is a little prissy. I shoveled enough snow off the grass that she has a place to potty. I treat them good when they come inside.

I love all your lily pictures Dori. I don't dare go to that link. I don't want to buy or plant any more lilies. I love them but so do the deer and I'm so tired of fighting the wildlife for flower blooms. It's bad enough they get into my daylilies. I have to keep spraying the Liquid Fence to deter them. That works pretty good but you have to be vigilent about repeating your spray.I just want to plant stuff they wouldn't eat if they were dying like hyssop or lavender etc. I've got a lot of Monkshood which is poisonous and they don't bother that. They got into my hostas this summer and ate half of one down. I saw it and sprayed and they didn't eat any more. I don't want to have to babysit my flower bed so much so as they eat things I'm removing them and planting other things that can fight back. :) I do have some roses inside the fence but they are pretty barrier respective so I only have to worry about the rabbits inside the fence. I'll try to get them sprayed again in January so the rabbits don't eat them like last winter. I'll spray the bark on my new trees too. They like to chew on the tree bark. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........

We spent the day watching old home movies from when I was a baby. My mom lives with me and will be 92 next month. She has dementia but really enjoyed seeing all her kids and husband from the past years. We're trying to figure out how to burn a DVD from the VHS tape. We've done it before but it's been so long ago we forgot how. :) Oh well. It's kept us busy all day. It's fun to revisit you early childhood once in a great while.

Dori
What a cool collage of the lilies!
You sure have a lot of them!
I only have three, Stargazer, Casablanca and a pink one/I lost the tag.
Can you recommend any easy to grow varieties?
Stargazer has done real well for me and their fragrance fills the air
no nicely.

So far the only one that i had turn brown before it bloomed was ebony.
Every other lily ive gotten has made it!

I luv the Tango liles and the electric lily series
but they are all to die for! ;)
Centerpiece on the left is one I really like

Windy and cold here and skools were open here today!

Well everyone I seen all the orders on the co-op forums for you all. Im sorry but I do not understand the "lingo" on that forum what does it all mean is there a place to look at what they are offering??? It really sounds like a great deal. But I do not understand. How do you place an order? If I wanted to? I really do not need any more lilies now. But maybe something else another time would be good... Sorry for being slow... Ronna

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

Dori
Can you tell me why you like the Tango and Electric lily series so well?
Thanks for the recommendation.
Do you know why only certain varieties are available through the co-op?

Ronna
I'm confused too...just got a d-mail that the ones I ordered were not available through the co-op and to look at the "2nd post"...which I did and there no list or at least I couldn't find it. If you can find the list you just post your order on the lily co-op thread.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Cottage_Rose click on the link to her photobuck album, it has pictures and the names of all that can be ordered.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

ronna on 4paws(bleek) co-op there is a list in bold print at the top
that is what is left to order-

You just place your order at the co-op links!

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

Ya I went snooping...DUH...I thought that was somebodys order!
What does the numbers after the lilies mean...like 14/16?

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

I asked Dori the same question lol, she told me its the size of the bulb :o)

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

Ooohhh....
Well thanks for your help.
I figured it out and placed an order. :o)

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

I dont see where your order is placed CRose?

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

Am I going crazy? LOL
I will go check...is it in the wrong place?

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

Dori...have you had your morning shot of caffeine yet?
Its there! LOL
Do you grow any of the ones on my list?
If any are dogs let me know.
Do you know if white or cream lilies tend to get brown on the edges fast?
I just got to thinking my Casablanca does that and maybe I shouldn't get more white or cream ones if they do that.

Heres my order:
2 Hacienda (white)
2 Mambo (red)
2 Socrates (pink)
2 Trebbiano (cream)

LOL i see you got there before connie!

Im not sure if i have the ones on your list or not

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

Got to go pick up my poinsettias from Dayme's skool and then im off to shop(GAG)
we got a inch of snow last night, things are pretty again-still cold!

AuGres, MI(Zone 5b)

We got about 3 inches last night. It is pretty and white isn't it? Of course I don't have to go out and drive in it.

I've spent two days reserching online for the best Medigap policy for my husband to go with his Medicare insurance. WHAT A HEADACHE!! So many plans and so many companies and nobody will just pick one for you. ha ha ha

If someone wants to be a millionaire do your research and write a book on this stuff and sell it. Or become an advisor and just let people walk in and answer a few questions and you wave a magic wand and wa-la a plan is selected that is perfect for your needs. :)

Have fun Christmas shopping. I'm all done I think. I've been wrapping.

Brenda

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Sorry Loon dont know anything about the whole medicare thing. There probably wont be any when I get old enough!!! You work and work and no thanks at all for the hard work... I am pretty close to being done just ordered a fleece shirt for the husband from cabellas. One of his favorite stores we want to go sometime. My parents say it something to see. But I havent wrapped anything yet. I took my friend shopping yesterday and she got quit a bit if her shopping done... I have cut way down and its really hard for me to do that.. But its to expensive we have to eat too. Oh well have a great night everyone Ronna

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

Speaking of Poinsettias...have you noticed all the artifically colored ones, some even with glitter on them?
Little too gaud for me but I picked up this one today with ivy and like the combo. I do like the cream and pink bi-colored ones.
Think I will get one of those too.

WallyWorld had them in blue, sooooo ugly.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

CR, my sister in Indy was just telling me about the gorgeous one she saw...it was just like yours. I may have to go take a look see at them. I just discovered that I left my 4 amaryllis bulbs out on the deck...they were froze solid. I am so ticked at myself. I've had them for years and just stuck them out there to make more room when we had company. Out of sight, out of mind. grrrr

AuGres, MI(Zone 5b)

CR, I really love your poinsettia arrangement. It's really pretty!! I wish I had more room for houseplants. MY white CHristmas cactus is in bloom now and it is beautiful. I have it sitting on a pedistal plant stand all by itself in front of a south facing window. There are light drapes there so it's not sitting in direct sun. Sometimes I open the drapes up. I'm always afraid I'm going to knock it over. I've had it for many years. White is more unusual I think and I fell in love with it when I saw it at Walmart years ago for $8 and I snapped it up. It was large then and has remained so. One of these days I should think about repotting it into some fresh dirt but I'm afraid I'll screw up a good thing that's working. ha ha ha

Brenda

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

BTW I got the poinsettia & ivy at Wal-Mart
