Other one was nearing 300 posts so may be getting slow for the poor dial-ups.

Just noticed the typo! Can we edit thread titles???
Ha Ha - no way! I've done that.
Would Admin help out? What if the error made it profane?
They would just wipe out the whole thread I bet.
All this typing has me thirsty, BRB - getting a drink of warer.
BRB???
Be Right Back
Get on the trolly daddy-o ;)
Victor, use the contact us button--they will edit a thread title for ya---LOL
Sorry - don't do those shortcut / texting things. My English teacher would slap me, right after I slapped myself.
Just thought of something funny for the profane joke - 'Filtered water cooler2'
OK - not hilarious, but it's a free one on me.
You get what you pay for.
Terry fixed the title - thanks Terry!!
When I just saw the begining of this thread I had no idea what typo you were talking about(they had already fixed it) too funny.
Went trick or treating with the kids for the first time. There was NO ONE else out when we were out, just right before it got dark. Hubby was like is it Halloween? Do we have the right night? Well, they are giving out candy, so I assume.... It was the weirdest thing. There was 1 group of kids(5) when we were on our way home. I guess they dont' like going to the development that we're on the edge of, everyone has about an acre so you do a lot of walking.
Jen - I had typed 'Warer'. We had fewer trick or treaters this year. And it was a great day with an extra hour of light!
We a lots fewer trick or treaters too. Certainly there are no less kiddos in our area, so I wonder what the hold-back was! Last year we had about 50 ... this year, it was perhaps 20. Cute kids all of them, and very ingenious costumes on some.
We've had very few for the last few years. I think not many young kids in our neighborhood anymore. One neighboor - her 6 year old daughter got sick, so she was out trick or treating for her. I would have made a run to the grocery store bulk section and gotten a little variety, in less time, and more good stuff.
Victor, did I thank you for taking pity on us poor dial-ups? No? Well, thank you.
You're welcome, Candyce.
I only pay 9.95 a month for dial up, save up the $ for dinner out once a month. The sacrifices you make to be a stay at home mom.
We have more computers than I have fingers, but i don't think any of them would suffer to be left on 24/7.
x, C
I'd love to leave it on 24/7, but we have just the one phone line. I pay about $11 for my internet connection. I may have Verizon as a phone service, but I live far enough out in the sticks to NOT have Verizon High Speed for the computer.
Heck! The only way we have cell phone service is if someone goes outside and hugs the flagpole!!
Darned dryer conked out last night. I was trying to dry the last load, and *poof* - no more dryer. So off to Sears to get a new one. When there are nine human beings in the house, with two of them being a year old and a little less, you just can't NOT have a dryer!!
Now, we are $400 poorer, but we will have dry clothes!!
Too bad about the microwave, Sherrie. We use ours constantly.
Schick - you must have dsl.
Some folks have all the luck.
I've been getting the line lately - you spend more time on that computer...
which is somewhat true - I find I check DG before my email even...
so last night I turned it off and watched a movie.
I get that quite often.
What I don't understand is that if I watch TV, or read a book, or work in the garden for hours at a time, I don't get the same comments.
ya...men don't make sense half the time--I get the same line too----but the computer beats the crap he watches on tv---and at least I'm in the same room as him--not that he notices.
Excuse me!!! It's my WIFE who's saying the same.
hehe----present company excepted
Thank you!
My toaster oven bake feature will only work if you jiggle the temp button(can you say "loose wire"?) maybe a fire hazard??? It's only 3 years old!!! You can't see the display on my oven anymore. We just bought this house 3 years ago! Can you say "time for all new appliances"??
Ever think of life's little annoyances, when you stub your toe, paper cuts....my least favorite when you go to drink your milk and it has already soured before the expiration date!!!
we could do a whole thread on little annoyances---the one that bugs me the most is when hubby crumples up garbage parer--candy wrappers, etc, and sticks them in little crevasses instead of the garbage--under the cushions, etc---
