Show us your Bloomers #2

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

carrie, trombones?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Can we begin #3? Or, shall we just let this one go, as we don't really have blooms.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

How about house plants? I have tons of those. Patti

I think the next thread shoud be snow flake blooms. We have 14" and it's still snowing. Everything is WHITE!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

We could start a House Plant Bloom thread. I like that idea.

And, we could start a "How Much Snow Did YOU Get?" thread.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Oh my, I hadn't thought about more than a foot. Candyce, how much did you get? I need to check and see what we got in Vt. I hope it is gone by Friday as we are going up for a few days. I hate arriving with no place to park before shoveling. Luckily our neighbors usually have an extra plowed spot that I can use in there drive.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Even though we are at a high elevation, we didn't get any more than 6". It is lightly snowing now, but nothing to worry about.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Patti,
we had the same storm that came across the US but we also had one brewing off the coast of New England that mixed with the big one. I think that is why Maine got more snow than everyone else. Pirl is on the coast in N.Y. and didn't get any! The storm was below her and headed towards us, picked up by the big one and it still pooping on Maine as I type.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

And, it's spitting on us right now.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

As much as I don't like being cold...I have to admit it's very pretty!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

pixie62560, It totally missed Nantucket too. South China always seems like a very exposed area that could really get clobbered. I remember driving through there right after that horrible ice storm a few years back and seeing the terrific damage. Patti

Here's a thread for Indoor Blooms ...

Patti,
Your right! We did get clobbered in the ice storm, went 6 days straight without power. It was a total of 11 days in all but the first 6 days we had nothing for power, the next 5 days it was off and on. We are still clearing debris from it in our woods. Lots of tree limbs broke but just hung 30ft in the air until a good wind storm knocks them down.

Good grief, pixie! Now, THAT'S a storm!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

One last hooray, here is what I found yesterday in the garden. They are little troopers. Sorry about the picture quality, it was cold and I was in a hurry. I doubt that those roses will open fully. Patti

Amazing, Patti! And they're still so pretty! Thanks for braving the cold to show them to us!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Louise, today was a little warmer. Not like, you know, warm, but warmer. And of course Nantucket is warmer than here. x, C
