Unfortunately I can't--the reason she's coming out that weekend is that she's signed up to do a 50K trail run on Mount Diablo on the 8th, so it would be too hard trying to come down there on the 7th and then get back up here so she can get a good night's sleep and be prepared for her race the next day. Otherwise I'd at least ask her...but she's only here for a couple days and really isn't into gardening that much, so I'm not sure if she'd go for it anyway!

You know, Liz, you really can't keep missing our RU down here. This year will be even better than ever and think of the nurseries you could hit while here........

One of these years I'm sure it'll be planned on a weekend when I don't have friends and family in town. I really don't have visitors that often so I'm not sure why I have such bad luck on the timing!

She'll need it! Personally I think she's totally crazy for doing this...50K is a long way to run even on flat land, and I don't know if you've ever seen Mt. Diablo, but it is not even close to flat! It kills me to even hike up it for short periods, and I can't imagine trying to run on it. (of course she's in just a tiny bit better shape than me! LOL)

Yes, she's seen it...she's just crazy! I told her how impossible it was, and that made her want to do it even more! They have a 25K race too where you only run up the mountain once, so if she's totally dying she can always stop after 25K rather than doing the 2nd lap to get to 50K. Knowing the races she's done in the past, I'm pretty confident she can survive at least the 25K, but I'm not sure about the 50K!

Oh man I didn't even know about the thing at Twin lakes Chef's house. I missed the one last year too about this time.
