wow! what a zinger, Dave47!
Does anyone LIKE daylight savings time?
i'm pretty sure the woman who came forward with the pictures admitted they were fake just a few days later.

Happy Birthday, Leslie! You have a ways to go to be as mature as I am! LOL
Funny story tonight when we went out from the hotel for a bite to eat. We went to a place nearby called the Buffalo Cafe (recommended by the person at the desk). Our cute waitress started running down all the alcohol specials, and we waved her off and said we just wanted iced teas. She smiled and said, "I didn't think you guys drink...you look too innocent." Now THAT was FUNNY!!!! No one has ever accused us of looking innocent before. Ahhh, if these old geezers just had the nerve to fill her in on a few "stories from our respective youths!!" LOL
The best stories are not respective!
I am glad to hear the pics were fake. for some reason I don't mind Joe in pantyhose, but Oscar seems much too reserved and shy to be so bold.
You don't mind Joe in pantyhose?
Well maybe I should rephrase that. I don't mind the ads I used to see years ago with Joe Nameth in pantyhose;)
I'm trying to keep up with this gang I just met here on this thread, but Al and Victor are way ahead of me.
For new(er) folks. I believe Al and I have been making fun of each other long enough for us to now we are not trying to hurt each other, simply looking for excuses for humor. He is, in fact, my favorite person in the whole state of Wisconsin!
For some reason it does not surprise me Dave. I had a strong feeling everyone on this thread is full of pranks and good humor. It is refreshing to see it has developed into true friendship.
That is why I watch this thread and a couple of other ones they post to. It is very entertaining to say the least.
And besides,
Victor rides a Harley! YEA!
Or at least Menasha.
posy - I've named my 5 year - old's Big Wheels 'Harley'. That's as close as I get!
OMG! See what I mean Victor? You are killing me!!!!ROTFL
What actually is this thread about, trying to figure it out, lol lol, October birthdays? Joe Namath? panty hose? Don't remember what it started with
Was too long ago for me to remember, blame it on my 79th birthday Oct.3 how sad to lose instant memory, ;-)))
HAHAHA Maria. I think we better let Dave ,Al, and Victor answer that question;))) Really, I'm pretty sure it was about something;))))
We can ask that question about most of our threads! Nice to see you posting again Maria. Hope you had a great birthday. My 20 year old nephew has the same one.
It did start out about Daylight Savings but all that followed is related in some way. For example, when we change the clocks back it's getting cold. When it's cold, some famous quarterbacks needed extra protection from those biting winds and clawing defensive linemen, some of whom were born in October. See, it all makes sense!
And it looks like the Redskins might not get shut out.
edited to say: I can't believe they didn't just score.

Thanks Dave - I'll settle for favorite in Menasha.
Guess it does Victor, of course you know I was just trying to be facetious because wanting to say I wish it was DST all year, when I get up in the morning no matter what time of the year it is usually still dark, so what does it matter as long as it stays light in the evening to be out of doors working in the garden or anything else that keeps me there
I agree Maria and would increase it by an extra hour from April to October.
Sounds like we don't have many morning people here.
I'm a morning person. I'd rather have a little light left after I get home from work if possible.
Edited to say
me too Victor

Hello Maria!
Happy belated birthday!
Good to hear fro you again.
Al, I was willing to give you the whole Midwest!
You wouldn't want to get on the bad side of Oprah in Chicago - she is above the law!
I thought she was Chicago - just lets the Daleys look like they're in charge.
Oh no! Not Midwestern dirt on Oprah.
She was bigger than Chicago, then she wasn't, then she was....
wow that was MEAN.
It certainly wasn't LEAN
Sorry. Didn't mean to offend. I respect her tremendously..
Happy belated birthday wishes from me, Maria.
I'm glad to see you posting again.
DST really doesn't make much difference to me - it's ALWAYS dark when I wake up in the morning! I have to say one of the things I miss about living in the NE was having enough light at 5 AM to get a jump on the day and start working in the gardens early while my children were still in bed - have to wait until 6:30 or 6:45 here :( I'm going to really be out of whack next weekend - I'll be in Phoenix when we change the clocks and they don't "do" DST!
Well, at least you will be warmer in Phoenix!
I loved Arizona when I lived there. I spent two great years in the Yuma area. It's hard not to fall in love with the beauty of the desert.
It IS beautiful and I love to visit, just wouldn't want to live there - it was hard enough adjusting to the heat when I moved south!
Yes, but it's a dry 120.
So they say.
*Roadrunner sneaking in from Arizona*....I was scrolling down to get to the end of this thread so I could post my opinion....that I am sure everyone would LOVE to have...they must as I give it out a lot!!
The farther I scrolled the more the topic changed...so I though" I can't post and it not being on DST anymore"...then low and behold...it came back on topic!!
Hmmmm....what was my opinion anyway? Oh yes....
Arizona has the good sense to not play that silly game of "let's change the time"....I love it..
Ren..Enjoy your time with us here...I wish you would be closer...they will be having a DG Plant Swap on Nov. 3rd in Phoenix area. Jo.
indiana doesn't do DST either.
I think Kiska just posted on another forum that Alaska changed this past weekend?
Really? I thought the whole country did it the same time.
Me too, maybe I'm confused due to the change this year
