I do not.
I'm a morning person, and prefer my daylight in the morning.
And, it takes me a couple weeks to adjust to the time change, resetting my natural clock - I don't normally use an alarm clock - but have to the first week or so in the Fall.
Does anyone LIKE daylight savings time?
Well - I like light in the morning during the summer - but when it is cold outside - well, I would just as soon as the sunlight during the warmest part of the day during the winter.
I like everything.LOL
The fall one isn't really a big deal because the hour of daylight you get back in the morning is gone before you know it.
Absolutely! I love that it's almost 9 PM when it gets dark in late June.
No, it messes up my natural clock!
Don't really notice it either way.......
I just want it to be light in the morning when I get up. If that means that it's 4:30 AM ~ that's when I want it to be light outside.
I could care less about it getting dark. But, I really would like sunlight to about 7:30 PM.
I love daylight savings time. I can get home from work and be in the garden. For morning people, I would suggest Pirl's minor hat. ;^)
Sounds like you're not quite sure Candyce!
Oh, I'm sure, Victor.
I want light for at least 16 hours out of every day.
I still like morning light best - I had to go to work an hour early this am, and it was still dark out. I like going for a walk in the morning before work, and often go in the dark.
I guess we could be in Alaska!
No thanks, Debilu!
Waaaayyy too cold for me!
I want Camelot! Candyce and I agree on 16 hours of light each day but I'd settle for a little less since I do have my miner's headlamp as Al mentioned, if needed.
Actually, I bought one for my DH when he works on the car, I could borrow it!
Maybe I'll get one when I grow up to be a SERIOUS gardener!!
Speaking of that Pirl. My wife wants me to cut her some flowers this morning for her to take to work - fully dark when I leave for work now.
Yes, Al, exactly what I mean - I like to pick flowers and or raspberries to take to work with me, and yesterday it was just too dark out. Of course, when we first change the clocks in the spring, not many flowers blooming, and no rasberries yet.
I can feel consoled by the fact that it will be light out earlier when we turn the clocks back. At least for a little while.
I agree with the 16 - 17 hrs per day.
Okay - I will go with 16 hours of sunlight providing the temperatures NEVER go over 75 degrees or under 60 degrees :-)
When do the clocks go back, anyways???
1 week later this year, Nov 4th.
The mnenomic if I'm not misled
says "falling back" and "spring ahead".
But don't most springs spring back, instead?
And I once fell forward (on my head).
Oh well, come October I'll arrange it,
Wait! It's next month, someone's changed it!
To quote Mom Nature, it's a crime
To mess with Daylight Saving Time!
Great Don! Thanks.
I like it Don!
Brilliant!
Before I had kids - it didn't bother me too much. I mean I had the usual sleep troubles but those would be gone in 2 days. Since I have had kids it is a whole different story. I dread it. My kids really notice it.
hehehe..I remember that as a kid...especially in the spring....
"But Moooom...it was only 8pm last night".....at bedtime.
Good one, Don!!
I like daylight saving time.........really like being able to go out after dinner and enjoy the garden. BUT - I also like the daylight early for walking first thing. Since I can't drive at night, the longer days take a lot of pressure off going somewhere in the afternoons in the summer months.....have to be very careful in the winter months.
getting dark so early makes me sad.
More TV and more eating can't be far behind.
getting dark early makes me tired...seems I'm ready for bed around 8:30.......
And Eric, my DH, left this morning for 11 days.
sigh.
Too many hours of dark + too many hours alone = big sigh...
awwwwww
(big hug)
And don't forget our beloved Mets, Amy. Just trying to add to the depression!
I agree I do feel more tired too when there is less daylight! For some reason I feel like I should be in bed as soon as it gets dark LOL
The lack of light affects me big-time. Get a full spectrum fluorescent light. It really helps.
Hi, I am new here - not only to this thread, but also to this forum. I must say I do appreciate daylight savings time. Not being a morning person, I enjoy being able to putter around the gardens when I get home from work. I see debilu lives in Henrietta. Hi, neighbor! Where in Henrietta do you live?
