Harriny.... yes, got this one too!
CA trip...
Hey, Lady. Those begonias are roses.
The photo above, the one without a tag, is named Rosie O'Donnell. Remember? That's why none of us wanted to buy it.
Just for clarification, the poppies defined as California poppies are Iceland poppies, and the big white one is a Matilija poppy. I don't know anything about their ability to grow in the Northeast, but I do know they're almost impossible to start from seed. I think you have to throw the seeds in a trench, cover with other plant material, soil, and gasoline, and then light the whole thing and let it burn. Probably more trouble than it's worth.
I miss you too, Kassia, and I'm already looking forward to your next visit in May.
yeah now I remember we talking about it... no Rosie O'Donnel rose for me...
I still have to order Laura Bush, Disneyland and April in Paris...I am getting mulch delivered sat morning so I can fix some areas of the garden and prepare for next year!!! and I am making anoter raised bed!
Beautiful plants and photos, Kassia. Hi Zuzu! So glad to see you on the NE forum. No "Rosie" for me either!
More beauty Kass. I agree on the manual settings - even for regular point & shoots.
I am dying for the new camera to arrive... I hope it comes on time for the last rose blooms...
Hiya, Pirlie!
I actually spend a lot of time in this forum, but this is the first time I've had any business posting. I think this might be the best forum in DG -- consistently excellent photos and witty comments... Who could ask for more?
I didn't read any of the posts on this thread due to lack of time but I did look at your photo's and wowza!!! Gorgeous!!! Thanks for sharing!
You're absolutely right, Zuzu! Here people don't call us Zulu and Pril, either!
Seeing how good Kassia is with her current camera can you just imagine how great she'll be with the new one, Dawn?
I thought it felt like I was being watched.
Why, Al?
back to 3:29 ;)
I can't wait to see more fantastic pictures!!!!!
Your instincts were correct, Al. You, Victor, and my old pal Dave47 were the focus of my attention most of the time.
Pirl, not only our names, but also many other words are spelled correctly in this forum. It's quite relaxing and surprising to find a forum where people speak English so well.
Definately!
(The devil made me do it)
Definitely!
Yes, Pirl, as in: "thats definately a good spot for an impatien or two, and prolly a burgandy iceburg to." Positively jolting!
Kassia, you will love Eden. I got her this spring. She put on scads of growth and was very resistant, if not the most resistant to disease and pests. She's half way up the arbor now and I expect her to go "over the top" by next year.
P.S. Hi Zu!..........zu
Zuzu - the burgandy always makes me laugh!
