and shapes to chose from...
CA trip...
Not sure - not that there'd be anything wrong with it, of course.
It is a gorgeous color I must say.
Kassia, I just love your photos of the estate! You've convinced me, I gotta go! Just as soon as I find that barrel of gold in my basement.

Some very beautiful and interesting flowers and gardens. Sounds like a grand time!
Great thread, Kassia. Love all the photos!
Now I'm California dreamin'!!
Thanks for taking us with you on your trip, Kassia. The photos are gorgeous.
Oh you guys!!!!! I still have to post some more pic tonight!!! I trully wish we could go as group next spring... oh now I am dreaming!!! I can just imagine how fun it would be to together with you guys at Filoli!!!!! trully amazing...
If you have not seen Sue's pictures at the rose forum do it!!!!! she has a new camera and the pics are gorgeous... and Kell is another one that has a new camera and her pics are so gorgeous also...
Looks like a great time and beautiful plants. Really love the knot garden, always wanted to try that. Had to go back to look at some pics of dahlias after I wiped my eyes, those guys make me laugh till I cry. I had visions of Al shooting across the room like a leaky balloon. LOL.
Sue.... I love your camera... such clear pics... and of course you are a talented photographer!!!!!
:-) thanks, I am still on the AutoMode settings but am reading up on it to learn and lots of practicing! All the daylily pics above are with my last camera.
What camera did you get Sue??
oh!!!! it's gorgeous...
I am getting the Panasonic FZ18... 8MP and 18x optical zoom... xtmas is happening in october!
Beautiful Sue. I look forward to upgrading to a DSLR sometime soon.
I am not ready for the SLR yet... I know I will spend tons of money in lens.... but the one I got right now is just not enough for me... well, I used a lot.... about 15,000 pics... it's really being used... lol!!!! very easy to shoot 100 pics per morning... just depends on how late I can get to work!!!!
Sue, was that shot right out of the camera? Did you edit it at all?
I did over 500 shots at the rose garden the other day in just over 2 hours. Lots of blooms, then the tag...sure adds up fast. I bought a 2G memory card, will get another one or maybe the 4G I saw at Costco. I'm ordering an upgraded lens next week, and then doing some research for a good macro lens, this kit one doesn't quite do it for me.
I just used the Picasa program to sharpen it up one notch, that's it. The lighting was perfect with the late afternoon sun.
I agree, Sue. That's an awesome shot.
Sue, believe it or not, once you learn the manual settings, you'll be surprised at the diiference between manual and auto - even for beginners! I have the rebel xt, the top of the line a couple years ago when I got it. I have 2 lens, and am looking into more. I know you'll have lots of fun with it.
