Hey Everybody, I an going to have some very nice Four O'clock bulbs, these are good size ones, they are mixed colors, but don't know which one is which, so it will be potluck. They are yellow, light pink, deep pink, fuchia
and red. Let me know if you are interested.
Josephine.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Four-o-clock BULBS? Oh, me, please!

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Carl, putting you down for the Persian Shield. But you know it's not cold-hardy, don't you? At least it never has been for me.

Will you please save me one of your firespikes?

T.J.,
Were you able to work out, the 'issues' with the manure? I want some please..and some compost tea, too...what do you want of mine?
I have some Mexican Tarragon/Marigold..it isn't rooted but I can sure bring some cuttings to anyone who wants it! You mean the one that smells like anise, and has the pretty orange flowers in the fall?

I have a question..do people bring things other than their pre-trades?

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

OH YES! Melva thanks for reminding me! I can bring you some cow manure as I found another dairy. This is good stuff! It's already been composted and is ready for use. It's still pretty hot, so be careful. How much would you like? I'm bringing it in old feed bags. 50 lbs per bag.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Can I have 3 bags of the cow manure, and some compost tea? Do you want a really small Lady Banks from me, and another Mimosa?

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Melva, yes, people bring more things than just what they're trading. I'll be bringing a couple of "mystery" seedlings.

Carla

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure, 3-50lb bags of cow manure and 2 gal compost tea it is then. Don't worry about bringing anything for me as I have enough on my plate as it is.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, Melva, and don't forget to bring a door prize!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes Melva, bring whatever you want, many people have fun trading things or giving them away at the swap.

One thing I do is keep the plants that are promised apart from the others or I can get confused. I also print the little list for each person from the trade list that way I know what I am giving to whom.

There are two large tables at the park, besides the picnic tables, and i think it would be a good idea if we put all the promised plants on one and the available plants or items on the other, that way we can tell better what is going on.

Be sure to label all your plants, I know it is a big job, but it really pays off.
Josephine.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I would love some four o'clocks if there are any left.

I would love as many feedsacks of cow manure as you can spare. I have a big truck LOL. Hubby says he wants a lot of it. Our cows eat coastal hay and you don't want that in your garden believe me.

We put our home right in the middle of a coastal hay pasture and have had to use heavy construction grade black plastic to kill it. No weed spray of any sort has even phazed it. It just seems to come back stronger when you kill it off. So, needless to say we don't use our cow poop. We are getting chickens tomorrow and will have chicken poop to trade at the next ru. That stuff is awesome.

1luckytexan, do you want passiflora incarnata vine for your fire spike?

Mamajack, cedar elm is a fast growing shade tree. It has the smallest leaves of all the elms. I'll bring you some as well as some sweet gums. They are small mind you, I hope that is okay.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Can I have the Victoria Blue Salvia? Please?

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

small is fine.

melvatoo.........do you have any more of the var. butterfly bush? what color does this bloom anyway?

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

yes you can. i will edit my above list.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

mamajack, I would love some vic bl salvia and some scarlet milkweed seeds.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

gotcha. i will edit my list.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

The flower on the Var. Butterfly Bush is purple and I am in the process of rooting more..I think they will be ready in time for the RU they will be well on their way.

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Mamajack, It's not me with the butterfly bush. But, would love another Turks Cap.

pbtxlady, Yes I have a large Mexican Marigold to trade. I planted one last fall, and when it had not returned by April, I bought another. Well, the other one did live and I don't have room for two since I want to try everything. :) I dug it up last month (and they are deep rooted things). It lost some leaves, but it's still very much alive. Also, I may not be able to bring the Coralberry. I did get two dug up last weekend, but had trouble finding a third. I am going to try again tomorrow.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

gotcha sweezel and thank you melva. we'll all keep our fingers crossed on those cuttings.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I discovered some more lady lavender passiflora volunteers and 2 native white passiflora if anyone is interested. Also got lots of incarnata passiflora.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Am I already down for a Lady Lavender? If not, I would love to have one!
