Ted the first one you showed could have been from me. It is a Night Blooming Cereus. I would love to have a start of it from you. We sat the pots out too early last year and the last freeze got mine.

Sheila you are covered

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

PBtxlady, do you need a red mini? I have extras potted and pretty and full, ready for the giving. Also a big thanks for all the rose cuttings from you.

If you do find a mini yellow, I'll gladly pay you for it. I actually drove to Huntsville (almost an hour) today to HD to get a yellow mini. They didn't have one....boo.

Sweezel, thanks so much for the rose cuttings and the canna. I will put you down for the red spider lilies.

Loonie, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the volunteer to make it towards this way.

Melva I'll bring my supplies for rose cutting 101.

Mitch, did you see my request for a butterfly baby plant? If you have another, put my name on it please.

Anyone else need a mini-rose? I have red noid, orange noid, pink noid and "green ice" (white fades to green). I have them all potted up separately and have a couple of each that I could share.
Charlene

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, are you asking Mitch for a Butterfly Ginger? If so, I have those and can put one back for you.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

charlene....I'd like to try an orange mini rose.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Not Ginger - Bush... And yes I have you down for one...

Shelia I would like a butterfly ginger!

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Sheila, since Mitch has the other butterfly bush covered, I'd like to try a butterfly ginger also if you have extra.
Blue_eyes, I'll put you down for an orange mini. The orange ones are a beautiful richly colored orange.
Mitch, thank you.

Charlene

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

never a problem - they root soooo easy!

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, Charlene, I do need a new red mini. Lost it during my watering mishap in August. If you have one, that would be wonderful!

Also, do you have me down for red spider lilies already? If not, I could use a couple.

I will try to get to my HD tomorrow and see if they have yellow ones. If they don't, I can get quite a few cuttings from mine. I also still hope to stop by Monday's and see if he has a Tropicana. If he does, do you want me to pick it up for you? Most of his roses are 5-gallons and cost about $20-25.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, Charlene, you know, I'll bet my dad (the Tropicana lover) would really enjoy one of those orange minis. Do you have another one?

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Pbtxlady, gotcha down for the spider lilies and an orange and red mini. Thanks for the offer on the Tropicana, but I am too cheap to pay that much at the moment. I know they are worth it, but I'll hold out a little longer LOL. I'll try the cuttings for now. Thanks for the offer to hunt it down. I appreciate it.

I bet your dad will love the orange mini. I will be pleased knowing that he will enjoy it.
Charlene

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Charlene could I have an orange or green mini.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Ted, I'll put you down for a green mini.
Charlene

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Ted.
Mitch & Charlene, I will put you both on the list for the Butterfly Ginger.
Charlene, can you save me a Red Spider Lily please.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Sheila, I will bring you some red spider lilies.
Charlene

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks!

Hey everyone.....we only have a week and a half before the day is here!!!!!

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Ted, Could I please get a start of the Dutchman's Pipe Cactus?

Thanks,
Staci

Gainesville, TX

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Im going to do my best to get the roses to the show but have recently pulled my back and a muscle in my rear end..specifically the muscle that attaches the ball of my hip to my tail bone. Needless to say the doctor has said no gardening or shoveling for two weeks.

I went and saw Melva last weekend so I will try to propogate cuttings of the two roses that can be propogated. Unfortunately the Lady banksia can not be propogated and must be dug up.

If anyone wants to come and dig they are still available. A bonus if someone wanted to do that are three more smaller bushes with miniature blooms.

I am so sorry that I can't deliver what I promised....

Debbie

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

not to worry deb. i just hope you make it to the swap. get well soon.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, please come to the swap with plants or not, we want to meet you.
Josephine.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Debbie..
When did you do that? I am so sorry, bad backs are the worst!
Lady Banksia is not impossible to root, just difficult..maybe someone would want to try some cuttings? I have a very small Lady Banks that rooted in the spring of 2007, if someone on your list, wants it.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Hey Debbie I am going and I don't have alot to bring with being new in Texas, but it is a great way to meet everyone that is here and learn more about Texas and Texas gardening ....well for me it will be but do come anyway

Gainesville, TX

I agree it is a great way to meet new people and I am going to try to be there. Driving aggravates the hip so it just depends on how well I am doing at the time.

Melva, not to worry I didn't do it at your house. I've actually been fighting this for about three months. It started when I was mowing and stumbled over the guide wire for my clothes line. Then (and this is the stupid part) I played bowling on Wii and I had about 2 glasses of wine, once again I stumbled and that was that. The muscle involved puts pressure on my sciatic nerve and that is really the most painful part. Each day is a little better, but it sure does stink with the weather getting nice and not being able to do a dang thing. I have three flats of plants that I need to get into my front flower bed but my mom (who I was bowling against) is going to come next week and get them in the ground for me. I think she feels a little guilty...hee hee, especially since she poured the wine.

I'll keep y'all posted on the rose propogation.

Deb

Gainesville, TX

Debnes,

do you still have seeds for the bi-color buddllia (sp? not so great on pain pills) Looks like I will have to look toward next spring now. They are gorgeous and will go with my color scheme on blues lavenders and white.

Deb

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Going to have to trim it up. Cuttings???
