(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

The extension guy came out today and walked the place with me and he says the trees I was wondering abut are American persimmon and he showed me the leaves on one of the trees in with them and said I also have sassafras trees...so I will be looking through them and find small ones to dig up and bring with me too. and /or I can take cuttings from them and bring those too if someone knows how to root them if possible.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

but one is yellow and one is white..........right? lol. too easy but i am just corny by nature.

and mibus where do you find one of those people?

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I called the county extension office and asked if they had someone that came out and looked at things as we were new to the area and I wanted to know for sure just what was here and what we should keep and what was not so good stuff.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL! Yes, one is white, the alba, and one is yellow, the double Harvest, got you down. Please count me in, for the Proteus

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Mibus - I am told they cannot be rooted from the end of summer cuttings.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

ok well I can bring cuttings if anyone wants to try it anyway or keep looking for more lil guys starting

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Sweezel, I'd love a striped beauty canna lily. I don't need the don juan as Mibus has purchased one for me to buy. I would love the Tropicanna rose cuttings though. I will be glad to bring you a passion flower incarnata.

Melva, I would love your little red magic climber and the camellia rose also.

I will not turn down any cuttings of roses or brugs from anyone.

I have lots of red spider lilies if anyone would like some of them.

I am looking for a yellow mini rose if anyone has one to trade.

Mitch, I would love a butterfly plant.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Sheila....got you down for cut mini blinds.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Loonie, if you have another Passiflora ceurula I would love to get it from you if possible.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I still have lots of Phaison tropicanna canna lillies. These make beautiful plants for the foilage alone, plus they have an orange flower.

I still have lots of red spider lillies.

Lots of alocasia cucullata plants.

Lots of the pink and yellow lantana plants.

Still want a Tropicanna rose bush a yellow mini rose bush and named daylilies and double, triple or any other than yellow or peach and cream brugs.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, I can bring you cuttings from my yellow mini.

You might check at HD. (I know; I know.) I walked through the garden center last night and they had minis for $4. Didn't notice if there were any yellow ones; my eyes were on the red ones. :)

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

There is no HD near me. Lowes doesn't have any and Wal-mart doesn't have yellow. So, I am not having any luck so far. I potted my reds up and I have four of them. When you buy them, they stick anywhere from 3 to 5 in the pots. If you have not re-potted your yellow, you will likely have several. I would trade a mini red for a yellow if you find that you have several. When you re-pot them separately, they take off like crazy! Mine look as full singly as they did when there were several in the pots. I have pink, orange, red and one that is call green ice that goes from a creamy white to a very pale green.
Charlene

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I failed to mention that yes, I will gladly take a cutting if it turns out that you don't have extra yellow minis.

I would gladly trade a single mini-rose for any mini-rose that I don't have.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

charlene, i'll take one of those lantana. two if you got them but don't go to any trouble.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Two lantanas for mamajack added to my list.

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

charlene, I will bring you the Canna and a cutting of the Tropicana. I also have Julia Child, S. de la Malmaison, and Sweet Pea Roses available for cuttings. Could I also get a few Spider lily bulbs?

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, my mini yellow is in the ground, so it'll have to be cuttings. I hear that those root pretty easily, though. If I get a chance I will run back up to HD and see if they have a yellow one. I only noticed red, though (cause my red one died).

Before I forget them all (again!), here are the rose cuttings I'm bringing, for you and for anyone else who wants them:

Tropicana, Tuscan Sun, Gold Medal, Joseph's Coat, Blaze, mini-yellow NOID, Peace, Gemini, maybe Margo Costner (sp), maybe Chrysler Imperial. I should have more, but for the life of me I can't remember the names of all those HTs. I don't want to cut them untl the last minute, though.

I read a few ways to root roses online and decided to give it a shot with the Joseph's Coat. I don't know yet if they'll root, but it's been a week and they haven't rotted yet. LOL! We'll see if it works.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

sweezel, Can I also have some SdlMM cuttings?

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure Melva!

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks sweezel.
The rose I thought was Magic Dragon is Chesnut Rose, a very prety pink, Mitch says he still wants one, how about you, sweezel?
For the Rose Cutting demo. try to bring:
a clear sweater box to place the cuttings in
some small pots
dirt
rooting hormone if you are going to use it
marker to mark the pots
clear cups can be used instead of pots, that way you can see the roots without disturbing it.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

T.J.'s daughter, Jordan..that is Mitch and T,J, in the back, digging.

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure, I'll still take the rose.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Stacey, I will have 15 potted Horse herb for you.
Josephine.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, the Passionflower has been taken. But I think there is a "volunteer" coming up along my fence, and I'll see if I can dig that one up for you.

Carla

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow! Josephine, you are a sweetheart. What can I bring you? I tried to dig up a Soapberry this weekend. Both that I tried, ended up being deep suckers with no roots real roots of their own. I planning on trying this weekend to dig down next one of the other bigger ones and cut off the sucker and dig it up next year for you after it's had time to produce it's own root system.
