HOT OFF THE PRESS! Pictures from 10.06.07 RoundUp

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

I'm the third one...lol
Honest, the whole way up I kept telling Paul, "I only want 2 of those tree ferns, that's all I'm getting, that's it I swear...the only thing, I promise." I believe I made the same announcement at lunch...
Well, the tree ferns were in 3.5" pots, and hadn't formed their "stump" yet, I'm patient, just not that patient, so I got 4 other things...
I did explain on the way home why...
lol

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I think Kassia must be wearing out her "!" key, LOL...

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

LOL!!!!!!!! nah...

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

candyce - this is really embarrassing (boy do i say that a lot recently), but the little pot w/coleus and coreopsis that i thought i gave you is sitting on my wall out back.
i still don't know what my mystery branch from the ziploc is.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Sounds like ya'll had a great time! And what perfect weather for you!

Congrats!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

It's not sweet autumn clematis from me? I found a branch in a wet paper towel in a baggie - not a ziploc - but I don't know if it was my own SAC or not. !!!

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

no, i do have the SAC (in a baggie), but that looks like a vine.
(thanks for the suggestion, i didn't mean to ignore it!)
The mystery plant is thicker, more like a branch with roots, and the leaves have serrated edges.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Looks like a blackberry to me - there were two in one zip lock.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I tossed a branchey viney thing on account of being neglected. It was in an ordinary baggie and I'm willing to bet it was my own SAC!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

So Amy ~ LOL!
I guess I'm back at square one.
And, you were right ... the two plants are in a small green plastic container. If anyone knows what plant has been buddied up with a coleus in a small green pot, please let me know what the coleus' buddy is!

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

can you put up a picture?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I'll get a photo up tomorrow. I've got to finish my chores.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Harper - I've been reading your journal - very nicely organized. How do you do that? (I feel so intrusive reading people's journals.)

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Don't feel intrusive Carrie. The option is there for anyone to make it public or private.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I enjoyed seeing all your pics, and hope to get to a RU one day to meet everyone!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Now you have me intrigued, Carrie. I'm going to have to go and read Carrie's journal, too. Mine is such a mess right now, but I figure that have all winter to straighten it out, right?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I meant Harper's journal .....

Michaela ~ I had a thought.
When you are ready to begin working on your beautiful garden (the one that you showed us the plans for at the RU), would you start a thread about it? That way, if any of us have the seeds or the plants you are looking for, we could offer them to you.

Anna and I have decided that we will begin growing the snapdragons you need, and then bring you the plants when you are ready ... if that's OK.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Amy:

Here's a quick photo of the mystery pot that Anna picked up at the RU. She says that she thinks she remembers that yousaid it was coreopsis, but golly gee, she wants to be sure! *smile*

i am losing my mind.
yes, it is nana coreopsis.
and it is from me.
the one i have here is an older one - that is one that had 2 coleus, one failed, so i pulled it out and i stuck a new rooting of coreopsis in it like the day before the RU. i figured i'd keep the bigger one for a new faculty member trying to start a garden and bring the itty-bitty one since no one had said they wanted any coreopsis anyhow.
eek.
sorry.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

No need to be sorry, Amy. It is me who is at fault for not remembering better ~ LOL! Guess I need to take more vitamins for my brain.

I'm thrilled with the coreopsis! I have been eyeing those for a while. If I keep it inside, will it be OK until next spring?

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

i dunno, i've never tried.
i'd plant it while you can.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I would plant it too!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Thanks Carrie. The only thing about the journal is that ya gotta enter them each individually. I work on my old stock of plants when I have time and then everytime I get something new, I make an entry for it right away. It helps that way because otherwise I forget when and where I got what and then where did I plant it?

...I got pretty far with my houseplants, but I can't keep up with it all, plus I'm working full time, raising a child, chatting on DG and another group, and last but not least, gardening, I'm too busy! LOL

Harper

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Harper! 'Another group'??!!! How could you?! I feel so betrayed.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Hurts, doesn't it? Actually, I knew them before I knew you, so you're the mistress, babe.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm game.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

EEk, Victor! I'm shocked! Are you trolling right here on DG??!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Is that the term? Why do you know it, Louise???

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I read. LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Uh huh.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Big on criminal law.........I think I've seen your profile....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I never stand sideways.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Wow! Now talking with Harper is, somehow, more exciting.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Glad you didn't say that about me Dave.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Dave - guess you and Victor may have to duke it out right here before our eyes for Harper's heart!!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I'm only interested as long as she is committed to another group.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe we can turn this into a novel!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, me too. That 'wanting what you know you can't have thing'.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Like the novel idea..... my reading stash is getting thin, and it's a long drive to Fla.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

'It was a lonely night on the NE Forum. No one else seemed to be online. Suddenly Harper returned from her 'other group'...'
