Carrie, the butterflies heads are opposite each others, I think that is what Al meant.

Oh, Emily, so sorry to hear that. Couldn't you get our attention?

Dave (whom I was SO glad to meet because you were even more funny in person!)
I was too embarrassed about the deficiencies in my Prius (they're SUPPOSED to be perfect) to tell anybody.
But it was a wonderful day.

Hi all!!!
It was great to meet everyone! It was more than worth the trip! Paul and I got home at about 930ish...that was after stopping to eat, visiting a store or 3...
I purchased the following from Logee's...although I told Paul I wasn't going to buy anything except the Tree Ferns (which I ended up not getting...lol)...
Begonia 'Fire Flush' if there is a link of this plant, I will try to post it here...
A variegated Adenium obesum-Desert Rose
Burgmansia 'Peaches and Cream'
Mimosa pudic-sensitive plant
Paul isn't really a gardening kind of guy, he hates dirt, he does appreciate the end result though...
He totally and completely enjoyed everyones company, as did I!!!
If anyone from NE Garden forum hasn't been to Logee's, go...it's worth it.
I showed Paul the sensitive plant, and told him what it did, and he wasn't like, "No way." Once the gilr from Logee's smacked the pot of the plant down and everything closed up...We may have made him a convert...muahahahaha...
One person at a time...no kool aid though...
The 85Main was great, the company was even better...I thank you all for making a not so short trip very well worth it!!!
Sorry to those who didn't make it, ya missed out...
Victor, there was even talk of making a curb side visit to your home...or sing sing? not sure...lol

It was SUCH a great time! I'd do it again in a heart-beat.

I kept wanting to holler "switch" at the table in the restaurant, because the table was so long that we had several conversations going at once. If we had all changed seats occasionally, we probably would have learned so much more about each one of us!

I loved Dave47's humor, and I even loved the fact that he made me blush, which he promptly apologized for ... and then I let him know that there was really nothing to apologize for!!

Thom's way of gardening is more akin to Anna's and mine ~ which we both LOVED and chuckled about all the way home!! (Glad to hear you made it home OK, Thom, and that we may have a convert! Kool-Aid ~ now THAT was funny!!!!)

Kassia entered the restaurant to a hearty round of appplause. It was so great to see how much we all appreciated what she did to bring us all together.

Eleanor, before I forget, we all commented upon how awesome it was for you to have used the T-shirt royalites to pay for the private room we had. We are still thanking you!!

Michaela brought her plans for the 'municipal park' that she wishes to beautify. I'm telling you, this girl has everything down, and then some!! I hope that she posts which plants she plans to be using in the whole 'day' scheme, because I am betting that there are several NEG members that would donate those plants and seeds to her. In fact, Michaela, Anna and I were talking if it might be possible for the two of us to escape and come down and help you develop that garden.

I must say that I thought Don was the 'quiet one' of the group, but then I think that we all must have not let him get a word in edge-wise!!! Poor guy!!

I hope that everyone here that has not attended a RU will get to do so next year, or next season. Meeting the honest to goodness, down to earth people of NEG is well worth it!

Thanks Dave for the ID - I can see now that it is the same person that was labeled Amy in another pic with her hair up and glasses on - duh!! But that's me when the light's on and no one is home!! I love all the pics, I think I said that before, people and plants. I missed so much but the pics really help to share in the fun you had. Again I was so glad to help out with the room for you guys at the restaurant - it was my pleasure especially when I saw in the pics how much fun you were having. Don't think I approve of the "gambling" though - you guys have to behave yourselves when you're out in public!! LOL Eleanor

(Zone 4a)

Nice Curls Kassia! LOL Seriously though nice photo's!!!

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh, thanks so much guys for sharing all the fun with the photos and plant lists and all.

Thom & Paul, it sounds like it was worth the trip for you guys (even if Paul isn't 'into' the plants LOL). Thom, you should go into business selling plants out of the trunk of your car!

Kass, do your roses know you're cheating on them?

AYC, I'd love some of your candy lily seeds...you've got D-mail!

I'm actually starting to recognize folks from your pictures. That's great! Now we're really old friends :0)

Here's the ONE thing I wanted from Logees, but the red tag let me know that it wasn't for sale.

The famous Logees lemon tree, around which one of the greenhouses is built. Rumor has it that these lemons will get as large as five pounds each!

How's this for a hanging basket? Anna isn't standing all that far away from it, either. It's HUGE!!

Sometimes the prettiest things were hiding amongst the larger plants.

Hee hee ... welcome to the jungle!

The more I read, the more I'm saddened that I could not make it.
