Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

This has made my morning. I hope you enjoyed the swap. I also hope everything germinates for you. Remember to keep records. If it did well and you want to repeat you can collect the seed next year!

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Seeds arrived yesterday. Thanks everyone for the great mix of seeds and thanks, Anita, for heading up this swap. It was fun.

Suzy -- great point about the 'additional' marker. last year i used 'popsicle stick' kind of markers and by mid summer they were rotting in the ground.

hope ya don't mind, but i copy/pasted your comment in the Lessons Learned thread #5
'cuz its a good one.

Marine City, MI(Zone 5a)

my seeds arrived today. Thanks! This was fun.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

It's okay with me -- copy and paste away! These pearls of wisdom just drop from the keyboard. ROTFLOL!

Anita, I received my seeds today -- thanks so much to you and all the people who made the swap possible, but especially you, Anita, the hostess with the mostess!

Cape Cod Gardener, I especially loved the Lobelia; was it commercial? I only ask because I wondered how you even collect Lobelia seeds since I don't recall seeing any pods. Or am I not looking closely enough?

I'm worrying about my WS logistics this year. What to put where, and all. Last year I had 300+ containers germinate, and I swear, I just got the last of them planted out -- less than a month ago. There is no way I can do that again, so I will have to be savvy and smart, and try to figure out how I can have more things in the ground with jugs (or something like jugs) above them than jugs sitting out everywhere which will later need to be planted. I wish I had learned about WSing in the early 80s when I was a younger woman with more energy. LOL!

Thanks again, Anita!

Hi Suzy, yes, the saphire trailing lobelia seed was commercial, from Thompson and Morgan--I WS it this year, and then re-ordered the seed from T & M because I didn't see any pods either!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I am thrilled that everyone is happy with their seed choices. I enjoyed hosting the swap and look forward to the next one.

YIPPPEEEEE! Received my seed swap envelope and want to thank everyone again for the nice selections. Many of the selections, I had not considered before, but now, I am looking forward to spicing the gardens up this coming Spring. Thanks again Anita, the color selections complement my gardens nicely!! ;0)

(Zone 7a)

Received mine, too - quite a variety among 10 packets - seems like seed traders on DG range farther every year. Thank you so much Anita and all - this was a very enjoyable seed swap.

Karen

ps - how about everyone moseying over to this thread - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/793658/ and giving a vote for a wintersown database on DG by zone? Earlier today Distantkin posted that Dave is looking to see what kind of response there might be.

I KNOW there's a better thread for this, well, there's really no good thread for this, BUT here's a O.99 seed sale and free shipping if you spend $10. I think they're Burpee seeds. Oh, I hate myself already. x, Carrie.

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

carrie, WE love you :0) ... this is a perfect thread for seed sales (well, there's no bad thread for seed sales LOL). what if there's something I want that I didn't get in the swap, huh? and where's the link for the sale?

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Gosh, gee, how could I forget the link? SORRY!!! http://www.watersuntogether.com/idtl.asp?IT_Cat1=Vegetables&IT_Id=1530

xxxx, Carrie ps I love you-all too.
