And the stove. That is my foot in the 'mirror' glass door!
Fall Color 2
wow, the most complete image of victor yet!
look like big shoes to me
Nah - I'm only 4' 6", but with cat-like movements and green piercing eyes. I also call Mom three times a week - how can anyone hate me??
Candyce, our pellet stove replaced our fireplace as an insert.
Victor - nice foot!! Eleanor
Wouldn't be too hard to get a forensics ID from that photo.
You've been watching too much CSI!
Makes me think of a dining room set on sale on ebay, the photo of the dining room included a mirror on the wall with a reflection of the male selling, the only thing covered was his face with the camera.
I won't make that mistake!
Debi, How did that bidding go?
Sherrie - Molly would have shared her deluxe accomodations (the whole back seat!!) with you!! You'd love the heat down here!!
Victor - nice stove! Do they all come with that sneaker logo on them? I love weeing the flame! LOL
Candyce - with 17 rooms (!!!!!) - OMG - you may need a few pellet stoves!!
Well, friends, the only fall color here was on my dining table last night for my mini-dinner party for my niece's birthday.
I jumped into the planting mode today. I planted 2 tomatoes (marglobe heirloom & "better bush" (???), a big bertha red bell pepper, 2 lantana in a wall planter under my kitchen window, 2 dill plants, another rosemary, parsley, garlic chives and my transplanted pineapple sage that I whacked all the way back to nothing. It has green growth all over it even though it got dumped on the ground when I opened the back of the Cruiser and wasn't quick enough to catch one big tray of plants. :(
Back to the plants - 7 impatiens; 2 transplanted daylilies; Mexican sage and I started green bush beans & mesculin greens. I still have the 3-foot lantana surtida, margarita bush daisies, and shooting stars to go - and that's just from my first trip to the plant stores so far. LOL My DH planted about 16 sunflowers and some paperwhite bulbs.
No cooking tonight. We're walking across the street to have dinner with our neighbors.
No more daylight savings time after today, so walks at sunset before dinner from now on Sure hope you are all tucked in and not being affected by the hurricane!!!
Am I the only one that was concerned that Victor was about to step into an open flame?? We sure as heck don't want Victor burning up!!
Louise - here we are getting ready to hibernate and you're planting!! It's good to hear about planting at this time of year. Don't forget to post some pics to help us make it through the winter!! My husband raked again today and if he doesn't get to rake again that's OK cause most of the leaves are down and picked up. Eleanor
Not to worry - no hot foot for me!
Eleanor - here's a hibiscus that is blooming now.....We spent the morning raking and fertilizing the back gardens on either side of our sunroom, I generally did clean-up and watering as well. My DH set up his chiminea/grill just off our small patio and assembled a little brick side table for the cooking platter and implements.
I planted the BES vine seeds that Kassia so kindly gave me, and I started spreading some lava rock in hopes that someone who posted on DG is correct that snakes don't like the lava rocks.
Hope you are all enjoying a lovely Sunday!!!
Louise - sounds heavenly. We were chipping branches today down in back, not too close to the poison ivy. Your day sounded like more fun. Eleanor
Oh, Eleanor - watch out for that poison ivy!! It'll come a creepin'!!!
