Thanks, Victor. No frost yet. It's about time, though.

Ooh la la, such lovely roses and dahlias! My nasturtiums are still going strong, as is the rudbeckia.

Nice colorful pic Bebop - you have Autumn Colors rudbeckia?

Victor - your dahlia looks good, quite a few similar to that - no name comes to mind yet.

I like that Darby rose Jan - thanks for having my back, I would probably do the same for you.

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

Al - Bingo, that's what they are. The yellow rudbeckias are Prairie Sun. And the nasturtiums are Whirlybird Choice Mix.

Celeste - we're over 400 posts. Time for a new one? I'm suggesting a possible renaming of the thread to 'Show us your bloomers!'.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Okay Victor......it's done. Show us your blooms here please!

Dave - I'm just a little bit over 11" tall!! LOL Actually, those marigolds are over 4 feet, although the ones in the pic are the bottom feeders of those plants. I've never had them get so tall before. That was too funny!!

Debbie - Thank you so much for the ID on the white berries! It is such an interesting plant and I had not been able to find an ID that seemed just right. They are growing wild in the edge of the woods just off my brick patio (right behind the beautiful wild blue dish that Victor admires in my back yard) LOL.

Gosh Bebop!! Another gorgeous pic from you!

I'm heading to the new thread, Celeste!! See y'all there (got to get back into talking southern before I head south)........

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Great photos again today everyone.... you just keep blowing me away... love all you guys!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Wow! I never saw marigolds that big! (I just assumed you were real small) Glad you got a laugh out of my goofiness.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Al I will have to send you some of my 4-5 foot strawflower seeds to go with your marigolds

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Do all strawflowers grow that tall?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Dave - if we can't laugh at ourselves and each other, we should be on your couch....right? Half of the fun here is the joking around, so I'd hate to think any of us could not take some ribbing with a smile!! I gotta tell you, those marigolds are something else....maybe I had too much nitrogen in the soil........not sure what did that!! We have a 4' cedar fence and a small garden in front of it. I made the mistake of putting some of the marigold seeds I collected from my Fla. plants right in front. They grew so tall, they were higher than the fence and they blocked all the other stuff in the little border garden. So, they had to get moved!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I don't think so.... just happened to get seeds from them two years in a row... if I remember I will go out and take some pictures tomorrow

Allison ~ you're an angel!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

here ya go Candyce.... now mind you these if they were standing straight up would be 5 foot easy.... but they bent my stakes I had holding them up

That's a bit out of control. I grew the pierrot one this year, but it didn't look right so it was yanked out.

Allison:
That's amazing! I can see where they might just get a bit out of control.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the two sets of tall ones.... are really only two plants... lots of branches ... lots of weight

I don't mind them though... and will most likely plant them again next year.... I figured we all aren't perfect

:)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I really like them. I wouldn't have anywhere to put them (just yet), but I really like them.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

let me know if you want some seeds.... I will have plenty (but sorry I don't clean the seeds .... I just separate them at planting time)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Not sure, Allison. Like I said, I have nowhere to put them - just yet. Let me talk it over with Anna. Thank you for offering.
