Thanks, Al.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Thanks everyone. I think I omitted a name from the big pic posters and that would be you, onewish - beautiful pics and such beautiful colors for this time of year!! Eleanor

ps: I'm sure there are others I omitted but remembering is hard for me - ngam, Carrie, Candyce, Dave -no wait a minute he's not one, don't feel bad you're still valued for your comments but we would like to see some pics!!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Very nice Allison - I do like your begonias

Victor, Everything I read says protection would be wise. Bring it in, bend & bury or now, bend & rug. Thanks Donnie!

Al, so a coat of Rustoleum??

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

That would work. Doesn't Pirl paint her plants.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Only the invisible ones. Those are the ones pirl paints.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Come on now, Candyce! I do paint my astilbes or have you forgotten?

Is it a nighttime miners' helmet covert operation?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

No! And it didn't require the use of my torch or my umbrella hat, smarty! Just a can of Robin's Egg Blue and a plastic bag on my hand.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

You just gave me a vision of you will all 3 of those at once.LOL

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Horrors! I'm saving that for when I have to enter the rest home for gardeners.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Great pics, everyone! Allison, I loved your photoshow!! What beautiful gardens you have, and the puppy pics are terrific!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great shots Eleanor and Allison. The Edison Dahlia is electric. Al - are you into maximum color already? Beautiful Maple.

Dave, if it's still small, I would put it in a container and bring it into the garage or someplace.

I'm the one who wants to paint the weeds with invisible paint!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Does anyone know of a phlox that is tall and will grow in the shade?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Most will Garden Phlox will take part shade, but not full.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

pirl love the spray painted astible... I might have to try that next year

:)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good Fall project for the Perennials that stay up through Winter - like Coneflowers.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

You can spray paint them for each holiday!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Victor - no not really, just a few things turning right now. A few weeks until peak.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Beautiful shots everyone!!

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

velnita, welcome!! lurkers are encouraged to post pics also :)

ngam, all of your roses are just lovely. and I don't have any of those (note to self: add to list!)

carrie, SAC is gorgeous! love the dbl inpatiens, too. I have some delosperma that I wintersowed and they are still in the container (not growing ~ about 1/2" ~ but still alive). maybe I'll put them in the ground just for the heck of it and see if they make it. nothing to lose.

Eleanor, your sedums are especially nice :0), but the star of the show is always the little guy.

Allison, wonderful, wonderful begonias. I have serious begonia envy!

ok, who did I leave out?? Al, we understand that you are slow, but we don't mind being patient with you ;0) you should take more walks with the dog. great autumn pics!

btw, Victor. thanks for the info on the brug. but I know you have to bring it in for the winter. what I wanted to know was what you do with it. I have one that has gotten pretty big over the summer (hasn't bloomed though)

yet more roses...Dublin Bay (climber on the arbor at the entrance to my rose garden)

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Name of the glad is Peter Pears.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful gladiola, Michaela!! That's such a delicate color. Does it change hue with the changing light throughout the day?
