Thanks for missing me guys! That makes me feel good. I was on a Bahama cruise to celebrate my BIL's 50th birthday. There were about 40 of us. We had a wonderful time. Super weather, although abit warm and humid. Then again - that's about normal for September down there. I got home to a really tired garden though. I have alot of work cut out for me!
What's blooming? #14
We missed you, Anita, but glad to hear you had a good time in the Bahamas.
Thanks Arlene. I have to admit, that I wouldn't want to go on Carnaval again. I think I prefer Royal Caribbean.
I've heard bad reviews about some, better for others. We flew down last year.
Jan - just do my best to get bugs off first - Insect Soap, water, or whatever. Then I just bring it to a bright room. Cut down on the watering. To be honest, I am one of those who's not very impressed with this plant of the flower's fragrance and I will probably not bother with it anymore.
Dahlia eclipse! Wasn't announced. Al, when do we see pics from Dogcam??
Not sure if you want closesups of some of his shots.
Might be revealing.
You might be able to play "I spy" what's missing.
Could be interesting when he 'greets' other dogs the way dogs are known to.
Whew! Just got back from a 36 hr trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico to help my 70-y.o. father decide that he did want to move east. He has TWO (2) houses on one plot so he can't sell them separately. I took a lot of pictures, of plants also of his (purchased) art and his newest house. which is ultra-top-notch energy efficient, all the latest everything. Water conserving, solar heating you name it he's got it. All but the hybrid car. I'd like to post them all but where?
We left at 5 pm Friday and got home at 5 am Sunday.
xx, Carrie
This is pyrocanthus, he planted it.
Hi Carrie - glad you made it home! :-) You are coming to the RU - right?
????? I dunno. I didn't know it was Columbus Day Weekend - I've sort of agreed to go with DH and DDs 1 + 2 to visit DSS and his wife and their adorable children in Salt Lake City. If somehow that plan falls through I'll absolutely be there. And are you coming to get some Sweet Autumn and relieve me of my dahlias?

Very nice Celeste. I still have lots in bloom but don't want to post photos that I already have before.
Brugmansia Jerald's Joy. Been a great plant. Formed two "Y"s since getting it June 12th. This is the 4th flowering (2 singles, 1 triple and now 1 double). Alas, however, what I bought it for, fragrance, is not there. Can't figure it out. Got it from a top grower who says her's have a wonderful fragrance.
I think most, at least annuals, are appreciating the cooler weather. Gee, I'm so incoherent tonight. Sorry.
xx, C
Very nice. I need to get a pink one.
Beautiful blue! Was the mix all different height plants?
Wish I weren't boycotting Wal-mart, I would love some of those blue flowers!

(How I spent 21 hours of flying for 9 hours with my crusty old father.)

Very nice. What was the approx range in height? Any need staking? Thanks.
Actually we had a good hard rain and it knocked some down, mostly B. Buttons. I put a short fence around it to hold it up and after a week or 2 they were fine again. I would say they were anywhere's from 12" to 36" tall.
great shots Pixie
