Well all I can think of when I look at this thing is this must be a lot like what the cop saw when he found what she tossed out the car window. They did sew it back on, right? I know that any time you said the word severe around any people of the male persuasion for quite a while after that they would cover up, so to speak. :)

I remember Bobbitt becoming a verb!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow, Celeste - 6 brothers?!! You poor thing. Did you have both older and younger ones?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Who, Al?????

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

no Victor , all older.....dating was difficult to say the least.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I can only imagine! I'd hate to come to pick up a girlfriend and find SIX brothers and a father! Almost like Snow White!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Love your little growing Bobbitt there ngam.

Al (and anyone else) My hollyhocks came down with rust. This year I planted them 10' in from the street so there's constant air circulation. Actually, the ones closer to the street have the worst case of rust, but the others still have it. Last year, I know I planted them way too close to the fence.... help! I like them, but I don't like the durn rust.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yeah, Victor, except the dwarves aren't as threatening.

ngam, I think that fungus is Willie Willie

Wonderful fall color folks. I'm impressed with the variety. Time to plan for next Fall.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Harper - the only remedies that I'm aware of are all chemical. I get the rust on my Hollyhocks, too. I've been pulling out all seedlings and will/might try the new ones next year in the hopes they won't get that hideous rust.

Wrong, Dave! You can't blame rust on my robust Willie Willie! Even my Lucky Ducky has larger flowers than just a few weeks ago.

Glad to know Im not the only one with rust on my HH...how do you get rid of it? Should I plant my HH is a different place next year?

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Pirl that Lucky Ducky is adorable. You can't beat a nice big fat yellow flower to make you smile.

In a totally unrelated chuckle this am...viagra anyone?

This zinnia from the California Giants mix does look like a dahlia Victor. I am amazed at how long it's lasted - this flower is over 2 weeks old and still fresh.
