How true. How true. (almost)
How do you feel about getting older???
Who's getting older???? - I'm sure my achy knees are just a recent sport injury, right? (I'm the most unathletic person you will ever meet lol)
I feel like a million years old today. I am fighting off a cold, and losing badly.
EVERYTHING aches! My hair even hurt yesterday!
Anna's out getting getting me some Alka-Seltzer Plus.
Oh my goodness, well tuck yourself into bed, get someone to bring you a nice cup of tea, and stay there until you feel better. You poor thing. I do hope you are feeling much better soon
Since there's nothing I can do about getting older I don’t dwell on it. I just hope there isn’t such a thing as re-incarnation because I'd hate to do it all over again! ☺
Get well Candyce, so sorry you feeling lousey!!
Feel better, Candyce!! My hair hurt - when it left me.
Oh Victor! ~
That sentiment was enough to set me off laughing ... and coughing!!! And, today I feel so much better!
The family DID pitch in and help me out yesterday. I kinda lounged around in the recliner for most of the afternoon. I even fell asleep in it for about 20 minutes. I hate taking cold medicines, but Anna went out and bought me the Alka-Seltzer Cold stuff, and I took a dose of that.
So, thank you everyone for the wishes ....
Louise: I love the flower bouquet!! It smells heavenly (well, it will when my nose gets unstuffed!)
Michaela: As you can see, I didn't tuck myself in bed. But, I did rest.
Victor: So sorry about your hair.
Celeste: Thank you. I feel much better today.
Thanks Candyce, but I'm not! One less chore. Going from curly hair to bald is very liberating! Hee hee.
But you still have hair on your chest, right?
Only on one side.
shaved it??
Velcro accident.
Candyce - so glad you are feeling better today! Don't overdo if you can help it! Is Baby Sean doing better now too?
Ouch!
OMG Victor you kill me!!!!!
At least Victor has the right attitude - try not to take anything too seriously!

I think Victor takes his battle with the deer VERY seriously!
Yes, but I try to keep a sense of humor about it, as with most things.
Yes, you do a good job with that!! No shortage of humor with you!!
I'm not getting older - I'm getting better!
I haven't checked this thread in a long time and didn't know you were sick Candyce. I hope by now you're feeling much better! It's everyone else's turn to take care of you now! Eleanor
Okay, how much older have we all gotten since this thread started? Anyone?
I'm a lot tireder than when this thread started,,,,, today, I'm tired than everything. Went on a 'shopping trip' with my almost 14 y. o. DD - exhausting. She has to wear white blouse - long sleeved white blouse - for a concert, and we must have tried on 100 white blouses! They were all too plain or too frilly or too tight or too loose or too white or not white enough or to short or too long. I think I understand part of it - it's a concert of the best of all the middle schools, so she doesn't know the other kids in the chorus for one thing. And second, her weight has really been fluctuating. One month she'll be a size 12 and three months later a size 16 and she doesn't quite understand why. Or if she UNDERSTANDS, she's not willing to give up chips and sodas. Sigh. What has this culture done to our children? x, C
Carrie, I went through the white blouse thing with my dd in December. Found one at Walmart. Funny thing is dd can't hold a tune in a bucket! Joined chorus to be with a friend, and loves it.
Too funny, Sue! I think I did that once myself! LOL
I think I'm going to order a couple at JCPenney and return the ones that she hates more and keep the one that she hates least. When they have free shipping (like now) it's not bad at all, and the prices are good AND no waiting in line, no shopping, no parking, no looking through racks of mis-sorted clothes for the last one of the right size, no finding something she HAS to have that I can't stand that's only another $15, etc. Plus they have a few other cute things she might like that are her size and did I mention her birthday's next week? She's really good at music, piano, flute, chorus, well, she would have been really good at flute if only she'd practiced, so we stopped, she's good at piano when she practices and chorus you can't really practice for but this is an audition only thing. (breathe in)
x, Carrie
my DH's b-day is next week too - the 12th. We sometimes celebrate his 1/2 birthday because one of our anniversries is in late November, then there is Thanksgiving, then Xmas, New Years', our yearly 12th night party, and then his b-day is 2 days before Valentine's Day, and i really just don't have that many celebratory ideas in me in 2 1/2 months.
Nothing much happens in August, though...
OH, August is FULL of celebrations for us - our anniversary, DD#1's birthday, I don't know, I guess that's all but those two events are made much of. This year she'll be eighteen, and in 2010 we'll have been married ten years and probably have a party for that. When we we're married five years our anniversary fell on a Sat so of course we HAD to have a big party and we restated our vows and it was very exciting. DD#2's birthday is ON Valentine's Day.
xx, C
Last year i took Eric to his 1st Mardi Gras in New Orleans for his 50th. it's gonna be kinda hard to top that!
I took my DH to the Michigan Speedway to drive formula 3 cars for his 50th!
that is spooky!
I heard of a costume party (I don't think it was (Halloween but I'm not sure) where there were guests whose costumes were those of a bride and groom and someone else was dressed in a minister costume and it turned out they really got married and he was a real minister!
Awesome, Deb!
When I was little my older sisters would tell me that I was born on Friday the 13th just to upset me. I'm Nov. 13th and found out I was born on a Sunday - "full of grace"!
Are you "full of grace" Sue? (i am like the least graceful person ever!)
though i guess that could be taken in more than one way...
i was born on a thursday:
thursday's child has far to go.
i know that could be taken in several (true) ways!
...or a crab sunday?
well, at least you are a grace-ful crab. i am just a crab with a long way to go (and an awkward way of getting there!)
I am not graceful. I can be a bull in a china shop. I will be walking and run into the door casing and keep going. I don't even realize it, till the next day, when whatever part I hit is black and blue. (oh yeah - I ran into the door) duh.
Mouth - Its not good when something crawls under my skin. There is a lot of words that come out. It takes a lot to get me aggrevated but when it does - oh boy.
Walking - I don't have the wiggly hiney. Long fast steps, I want to go from point A to point B. I get there.
Clothes are dungaree's, t-shirt and sneakers 365 days a year.
Have I scared you yet?
