Sylvia - Most members find that sharing here on daves allows alot more instant feedback and interaction from other enthusiasts...the garden journal allows you to photographically document all of your plants if you so choose...and the journal is viewable by non-paying subscribers...
Yes,Thomson & Morgan offer some very nice flowers...they also usually have the botanical names 'mixed up' >so it's a good idea to double check the accuracy of the botanical names that they mention...
Does the back of their packets show the botanical name they have attached(?)...just wondering...
Thanks for sharing...
TTY,..
Ron
P.S. - You also overwinter MG plants yes(?)

Thank you "ByndeweedBeth's" somewhere I have a map which choose the climate zon here in Sweden and what zon it equals in USA, I shall search for it. I remember that our zone is contrary to yours. The lower numeral the warmer here in Sweden.
I will return about my zone.
Hi Ron, I understand you know much about Morning Glorys that very good, to get fact about them.
I have a little bit trouble with the language, but I learn more and more, I only have my schoolenglish, so excuse that my grammar is bad.
Well... I dont understand that you wrote about......bla bla bla... and the journal is viewable by non-paying subscribers.
I check the back on the packets and they show the botanical names
Ipomoea tricolor Candy Pink
Ipomoea purpurea Star of Yelta
Ipomoea purpurea Heavenly Blue and
Ipomoea purpurea Mixed Glorys.
I overwinter my caudex and perennial, perhaps there are more kind which is perennial but I dont know about it.

Beth - Some feedback on the photos you posted...
Ipomoea cordatotriloba forma alba
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/ByndeweedBeth_1190214745_447.jpg
might be good to add this photo of the sepal closeup into the PlantFiles for
Ipomoea cordatotriloba
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53063/
and perhaps mention the unusual name is was received labelled as...
Still looks like Ipomoea wrightii to me
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/ByndeweedBeth_1190214833_853.jpg
you can always try cross fertilizing with another I.wrightii to see if it produces seeds to be sure...
The Ipomoea plebia seems to have developing seedpods that are on reflexed pedicels...Yes(?)...
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3992984
can we see a closeup of the developing seedpods(?)...
Hi Sylvia -
Some feedback on the botanical names listed by Thompson & Morgan...
Star of Yelta - Ipomoea purpurea correct
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/51638/
Mixed Glorys - Ipomoea purpurea possibly
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/57560/
Candy Pink is actually an Ipomoea nil
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/72691/
not Ipomoea tricolor
Heavenly Blue is Ipomoea tricolor
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/31977/
not Ipomoea purpurea
Hope that is helpful to your interest in the botanical names of these plants...
TTY,...
Ron

Beth this one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3997096 is real nice!! Does it have a name?
I love this one (Red Star)... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3997447
where did you buy seeds from if you don't mind me asking.. wow.
and also that one that you have that you hope is not a weed, I'm growing that too, very slow grower... in 2004 I got some seeds from China for this plant, and I finally pulled it out, all it said on the package was (vine), and it looked like some type of veggie or something else to me, it may be a perrenial and we have to keep it alive for another year.
Now, I'm growing it for Ron and I hope it blooms for one of us. It sure isn't big.
A
I think this red star came out of the kikyo pack from Japan. I also grew some other red stars from ebay and one of them came out mutated...almost ribbon-like.
All I can find out about the Merremia is that it should be a yellow flower. I can't find a single photo of it!

Ronnie,
The small blooms are Convolvulus sabatius ssp.mauritanicus
I want one of those red kikyos, every pack that I have purchased in the red, or blue colored ones, have not come out as the photo indicated..
You've got some gorgeous blooms there, that Blue Silk came out great.
I'll see if it makes seeds! Since it came out of a mixed pack it would be a crap shoot to send you the rest of those package seeds, they could turn out any color.
Oh gosh, no I don't mean for you to send me seeds,,, I just mean't that I want one..lol. but, if you want to trade some, I sure won't turn you down..lol.
A.
I'm really hoping it makes seeds!
Oh now I recognize it Beth!! Thanks, I didn't grow them this year, I wish it would produce seeds I can't always find them here!!
