pirl, I've seen Wildwood Marie. it's beautiful! be waiting for your pics :)
'Lauren Michelle'
What's Blooming? #13
Pixie - I've only seen Peaches and Dreams of that group, can't recalled what it looks like though.
Jan - You mean you've been watching this whole time? I feel so violated. Dahlias look good, color is sort of way off on Lauren Michelle - try yelling at your camera. I have about 5-10 to open too, they really get behind the 8 ball when they start slow and get overshadowed by other ones. Hard to beat a Wildwood Marie flower, but I've only had 2 of those on a 6' plant this year. Like the Champagne Cocktail rose.
This Jabberbox grew in MA last year.
Grammy, I like that sedum with the yellow flowers. I have the small stonecrop that is reddish, but mine doesn't seem to spread like that.
Onewish - I am laughing hard at that wormaphobe encounter. Hysterical! I guess she doesn't have any need for good soil! As traumatized as I can be about the snakes, I love seeing the earthworms in the garden.
Jan - nice to see you back with such beautiful pics!
Kim - I second the suggestion that you buy some worms. I have very acid soil with good earthworms in it. With sand though, I'm not so sure.....
You all have been busy today, lovely pics of gorgeous roses and zinnia and dahlias oh my, all very beautiful, even the bees. They all seem to be working in a frenzy now, I think they know the time is getting short. :) Al and Pix, gotta love those BB and the Mango echinacea is very yummy indeed.
Such beautiful pics everyone. I love them all!! Eleanor
Champagne Cocktail is to die for!
I agree Pirl. Love Al's Ferncliff one too. So what's your secret Al? Why does it seem no one else has anywhere near your success with Dahlias? Do you only give away the duds??!! Seriously, how do you think it can be explained. I was ready to say I'm ready for them after seeing some of the gorgeous ones, but if they are really a lot of trouble, I just don't have the time nor patience.
Great shots Anita! Which Dahlia is that?
I'll be able to tell you when I dig it up.
Thanks. Did you label the tuber?!!
The ink does last pretty long on them, so I wouldn't be suprised - unless that tuber rots. It's Lucky Number, I sent out a lot of those and it looks like they've all flowered too. Patience is needed - I won't lie.
Nice bouquet Anita.
Great shots .... starting yesterday Grammy Al & Anita
