What's Blooming? #13

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

From the looks of them I'd guess they're soft.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think they are.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

great shots everyone today..... love the crape victor!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Victor - I'll have to go check on my Winterthur - it's in the back of one of my neighbors house. Nice caladium and clematis pics. What is your heliopsis cultivar? I can't believe you have monarda yet - is that rebloomed?

I have some plantinginea - real tough hosta.

The Zinnia and the 'Ruffles' Cosmos are both exquisite.

Absolutely gorgeous blooms eveyone!! Love them all!! Eleanor

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Al - sorry, should have said Helianthus. It's 'Lemon Queen'. Great shots. Love that Cosmos.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Very colorful bug you have there Al. I just adore that pink and white cosmos and that zinnia must surely be a butterfly favorite with the bright orange color. Nice pics to see on a grey cloudy day. Thanks. :)

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

MG car! Of course! All these years I thought MGs were morning glories! Silly me.

What nice shots, Al! Any idea what that colorful bug is? All of your pics are so crisp and colorful! Nice punch for the day!!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Thanks all!

Louise - I got an ID on it, not really a good bug, but I've only seen one around.

I took a pic of this far out plant today while working. I think it's a tropical like draceana or something?

Very interesting plant, Al. Wish I knew what it was, too.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow, that's freaky looking. Looks like a tie-dye gone bad.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I felt as though I had spots in my eyes just looking at it.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I got an ID on it already.

I thought the people put it there as an annual plant - says it's hardy here, groovy.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes it does have the typical Ligularia leaf shape.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks for the links for both the wierd bad bug and that spotted leopard plant, Al. Both are quite cool, to say the least! I think I've seen the plant in bloom with the orange flowers, but I did not know what it was.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

This thing was HUGE! At least 1 1/2 inches long. I felt an allergic reaction just looking at him.

That is big Victor. My son was watching a big one like that on the driveway tonight - with a smaller one attached to it of course.LOL

One of my fall annuals is blooming now. China aster "Fireworks"

great stuff everywhere. I'm starting to get used to the fall thing on it's way. Here's an aster I found in the area we brush hog-it's now transplanted into the big garden and it's 4.5' tall (it was about 2' when I transplanted last year).

No flowers but it does light up a shady spot and contrasts well with the dark green of liriope....Hakonechloa. No muss no fuss plant.

Pix love that orange and white combo and how nice to have a lily bloom this late. Is there another name for the Love plant, is it an annual ? I like it very much too.
