Thank you Celeste. Yes, it's a very soft pink - slightly peachy. Great description of your Oak. Obviously holds lots of memories for you. Oaks are really majestic. Would love to have one but don't have the room.
What's Blooming? # 12
what a wonderful shot of your tree Pixie, I always find an ancient tree standing by itself very poetic
Anita - Vancouver looks nice, don't you hate not being able to say you don't know the name ;)~
I am way behind on the rest so I'll plead insanity.
Well just a bit - I like Sophy's Rose, Pink Diamond, Pee Wee(although I have a PG named Pee Wee also) and Pixie's sunset.
Fragrant Angel echinacea, barely snuck through winter.
Didn't know Anita was in Vancouver! How was it? Al, did you say you had a pee wee rated PG??
I think it's G rated really. I don't even swear at it. Has a real nice weeping tree form to it at my neighbors house.
I must not have made this up - there are 3 vendors for it.

Beautiful, Maria. Great shade. Yes, I had heard of it Al. I'm not crazy about the white mophead types. H. 'Annabelle' (not a PG) is the only one I put up with.
Pixie, my Immortality iris have always bloomed profusely in late spring. This year I counted 13 buds and open flowers on what was originally 3 plants I put in the ground 5 years ago. Unfortuneately they had gotten so packed in that I had to dig them and split them up. Now I'll have to wait awhile to see them blossom again.
Great tree pic. I have almost all oaks here, thick as thieves. Looking at just one in the distance is impossible. It would be nice as a view.
Maria your garden is lovely, I like the color contrast of the foliage and how can you not like foxgloves. Very nice. That rose is a treasure, a family heirloom for sure and a pretty one to boot.
Al I'm on the fence about getting FA. So many nice shasta daisies to use for white in the garden. Glad it made it back for you. :)
Well I went out and took pictures this evening but they're all horrible compared to pixie's show!! My grandmother's garden in Maine always had plenty of bright annuals and lots of nasturtiums - I guess they like the climate.
Now tell me about lily of the valley tree - someone told us we had one once but I've never paid it much mind; it's kind of in the downhill scruffy part of the yard, near the Rubbermaid shed.

Absolutely WONDERFUL pictures again today :)
I LOVE it when I come to this thread and have so much to catch up on.

very nice shots kassia... rose tree looks interesting
Great pics - I wish I had all of those blooms in my garden, but this is the next best place to see them!!! onewish - I hope you feel better soon. Eleanor
Kassia - great Dahlias following the post with the butterfly bush. Do you have a name for it?
Kassia you have such a wonderful assortment of annuals, perennials and roses. I am very glad you share them with us. All of them are so pretty. :)
Yes I love that yellow and purple Dahlia Kass. What is it?
Sigh! Someday I will get pictures that make my garden look as pretty to you as it does to me. Meanwhile I sate myself with everyone else's beautiful pictures.

But Al, if you have a chain-link fence, which you obviously do, what could be better than a living fence of gorgeous flowers?
OK, finally, here is hydrangea 'quick-fire" a few days ago.
xx, C
Yes and no. We used to have Virginia Creeper on there too and as much as I did like the privacy of a living wall there were drawbacks:
* Cleaning off couple hundred pounds of morning glory vines.
* Those beds are narrow and vines would crowd out plants quite a bit.
* Later in to the summer the bed on the north side of it would get pretty shady.
I have pretty much went to having the tallest perennials and annuals along the fence instead. I do have a small annual vine Ion there will post later.
