I can tell this is gonna be a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goodmorning girls. We will have the first draw around noon. I am still waiting to make sure all of the cards are okay.
Oh, MAN, I can't believe you guys are "stealing my THUNDER" with those FAKE (no less) BINGOS! I can see I have really started something with this group...LOL
This is going to be a great game!!!! I am off to get my hair cut this morning, but I will catch up to you ladies later this afternoon!
Good Luck everyone, what wonderul prizes we are playing for this month! Thanks again Patti and Makshi!
Kitten is adorable!! And my favorite color in a cat!
Looking forward to getting home tomorrow night and being able to check over all my plants and seedlings :)))) And to be able to check in here at DG regularly again.
Looking forward to bingo, it's starting at the perfect time for me.
~Brenda
Woo-hoooo!!!
Nine minutes 'til noon! (my time...)
Jill...lol lovin' your desk. Looks familiar...kinda like mine!! lol jk
LOL, too much to hope that everyone would be so distracted by Kitten's cuteness that they wouldn't notice the way things pile up around my computer... needless to say, Kitten has been making the piles slide around a little lately! At least I ditched a towering stack of old catalogs last week... but why is there a big coil of stove wire over to my left? Ha!
Pretty begonia Gail.
WOO HOO got the first one
Great start Starfly
Huh??? Did I miss the call somewhere???
look up top at the first posting that makshi did.thats where they will be good luck
Oohhh!!! I'm still new to this. It wasn't done that way last month.
Thanks!
Neither on my card.... but both very pretty!
I'm looking to add a couple streps to my Gessie fancy. All I have at this time is Jan's strep 'Daniel x self' seedlings.... which are doing very well. Just want a couple different varieties.
Since this is for us to chat also... I was wondering.... has anyone here ordered from Belisle's Violet House before? I checked GardenWatchdog, and the reviews are 50/50, which is not really good. But she seems to offer a HUGE variety of everything, and she is the only place I have found the Chirita Gemella listed. I sent one email to them, and was answered. Sent another, that was not. Just wondering what others thought or have experienced. Thanks in advance!
Karen
Yippee! I started out with one out of the of the two with this new game!
Gail, I still just love, love that Whirpool Begonia!! I put a whole leaf down and cut the veins and weighted it with rocks but I didn't get diddle that way so then I took a leave and cut it into pieces with a nice big vein in each piece and that worked well. Let me go find the picture of the babies coming up....
They are much bigger now and I'm anxious to get back home and see how they are doing along with my strep babies and Fuzz!!
~Brenda
P.S. Gail that yellow blooming mini AV is called "Gold Star", I can't remember where I saw you posting about it so I'll stick it here. It's a little beauty!
Awesome, bmedel!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to start doing just what you did!!!! 'Gold Star'..........I just couldn't remember.............
I am sitting here all day sticking strep wedges in a new wicking mix I am trying that Rain gave to me.................
*****check out Hi-Fresh..............some natural rooting hormone from Germany that The Velvet Leaf uses when they send your leaves to you...............I ordered some and love it..........a thread on AV forum
***********I got one of the two ..............WTG gessiegail!!!!!!!!!
I've got both of the calls!! Woohoo!! :o)
Brenda, the Whirlpool Begonia you sent me is doing great! I just took two plants out of the terrarium day before yesterday and potted them up, and I've got a leaf putting up babies, too! :o) And you should see that Hoya curtisii!! It's growing like a weed! I am absolutely thrilled with that one! It's the only Hoya I have that I don't care if it ever blooms. LOL It's beautiful just like it is. I still can't thank you enough for the box you sent me. :o)
Gail, your Begonia looks great! I've noticed the smaller leaves don't "whirlpool" as much as the bigger ones, and I'm checking everyday for new whirlage on mine! LOL
Rain that whirpool does "whirl" much more as the leaves mature, the older they get the more they curl up too.....
I too noticed babies just coming up on that beautiful NOID / Silverglade Oyster AV Gail. It was the day before I left and when I get home tomorrow evening I will have been gone exactly two weeks, so we shall see what I find then!!
~Brenda
Oh yeah!! That's what I'm waitin' for, Brenda!! LOL That's so gorgeous! :o)
I got one call! Great start to my first game!! Also wanted to say that I don't think it's very nice of ya'll to be talking about begonias and streps. I just started learning about AV's and have 8 already, plus a kohleria. Now my fiance is going to kill me if I fall in love with begonias too. lol
Well, ya better just pack up and run now, because if you hang around here long, you'll not only fall in love with Begonias and about a million other plants, you'll be growing at least a dozen of each! LOL It's an illness, really, but a nice one... LOL ;o)
Fiances are not allowed to dictate our obsessions. I think we should learn how to hypnotize so we can tell them that there are no plants in the house and you will never be able to see any in our house.
I am just starting to love ones i can keep inside...........my canes outside look pathetic with the heat we have had...........they all quit blooming and now need to all be cut back..............may give up on the outside ones............same way in El Paso, Drinnian...........you don't have enough humidity idon't for them to be happy outside either........we have humidity but just scorching heat in the summer.......
If we could keep them alive during the heat of them summer they would bloom beautifully in the fall and spring.........
************good decision, Makshi

Everytime I pick up a plant and talk to it or say isn't this beautiful they look at me like I have lost my mind. I have to be careful not to let them see me talking and telling them it won't hurt it is only a dead leaf and you will get a new one.
My Husband better not even dare to dictate about me and plants! He asked me last week if all these plants was too much! I just rolled my eyes at him and he laughed! He knows me well!
I don't dictate or comment about his "Toys" so he knows not to comment on mine! LOL
