Emma - Wow! How beautiful! Makes me wish I had chain-link instead of a stockade type fence. I can't believe the Blue Dawn grew 20' up the tree. The most I have gotten any of my vines to grow is maybe 10' (Moonvine). All the others maybe got 6' before their life span ended. Everything is so green in your yard. Is that because of all of the rain? Thanks for sharing such a lovely view of your yard!

Here's a new one flowering; it has Robin's egg blue in the flower. I am looking forward to the color variations.

Here's the JMG that looks like Q0751.

Here's a better image of the reverse tube of the blue speckled JMG I posted the other day.

Here's Kohkan that volunteered this year, glad it did.

It seems Fujishibori gets darker coloration as the plant ages.

Gerris - All of those you posted must be more of the rare cultivars! They are all really lovely and uniquely patterned. Quite nice each one of them. I really like your reverse blue speckled JMG. That bloom rocks!!!

Beautiful flowers Joseph.

Emma, This pic came out light but might more closely resemble
your flowers.

Emma all of your flowers are stunning I don't know which one I like best!!

Joseph as usual I like the robin's egg blue one the best. But the others ain't so bad!!

These aren't the best pix, but they're the first ones after all the rain that actually opened (that I saw).

Here is a picotee mix . . . if the rain hadn't battered the vines last weekend, there would have been a nice group of eight blooms all together . . .

And one more . . . a Matsukaze I got from Grow_Jo . . .

We had a lot of rain last night, and it seemed to bring out the flowers this morning.

Not sure what these are? Lavendar Beauty or something else?

I also had these bloom after a severe rain storm last night. I think these are the vines that are supposed to be Lavendar Beauty.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Becky - WOW,
I LOVE THIS!

You need to go tag this pod so the seeds can be collected separately and grown out separately next year.

Joseph,
As usual - AWESOME!
This is very interesting and so gorgeous

Syrumani,
You are coming up with some great blooms this year.

Emma

Thanks Emma!

Nichole, you have some nice JMGs! I like those blue swirly ones.

Becky, that blue looks great against the white trellis!

Emma - I will definitely mark the flowers buds for collecting seeds. Does anyone happen to know what it is?

Kevin . . .
Great shot here

It is SO great to see you doing this again

Becky . . .
Ron might have a better answer, but it is 'possible' it could be from my Henka Blue types. This is a 'guess' based on what I know of from the seeds you have.
Also, seeing other blooms from this vine may help ID it as well.

Hey Becky,
Buy some cheap mini blinds so you can start marking your seeds.
Cut them up at a slant on one end. One set of blinds goes a LONG way.
Best thing I have come across to mark all that I grow.
Mark your information on the blinds with a BLACK permanent marker.
Some of the other colored markers don't seem to last as long - at least not for me.
Or, use anything you can think of to mark your seeds that you start since you don't grow that many at a time.
Even masking tape, again with a Permanent Marker, at the base of each plant would work
All you should do is mark the name of the seeds as you received them and maybe put 'who' the seeds were from.

RON . . .
What do you think this bloom is from?
http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=3789085
Becky has been growing a LOT of seeds that she got from Cat that were from my Henka Blue Types
And, I have also sent Becky many of the new creations from my Henka Blue Types as well to grow out.

Kevin, I like your operculina. I lost mine.

Blue Silk
I know this first flower isn't quite right but I love it anyway.

This Lilac Luster off the same vine as the lighter pic above a few posts.
The 95 degree heat taking a toll on my flowers, especially late in the afternoon.

Great blooms, Jackie. . .
Yes, that is looking more like Lilac Luster
Pretty Blue Silk too

I'm afraid it won't be long before we have the high temps too. ALL of the rain we've had lately has really kept the temps nicely in the 70's and 80's. Right now it is 82 degrees and overcast. BUT the rains WILL come today soon. This time last year we were in the high 90's. Next month is gonna be a killer for us - UNLESS it keeps raining *-*

Nice purple and blue Jackie!

Becky I grew similar one like that last year!!

I looooooooooooove the SHIBORI. I have never seen it before. I really like the feathered one also.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Thanks Emma and Joseph! I don't have many compared to other people, but once I have my little irrigation system going (not that I've needed it the past month!), I'll get past the "choosing which plants to water that day" issue. I'll get them all at the same time, and use less water!

I found this in the Ensign mix this morning, too. It's blurry when enlarged, but doesn't look bad small. I'll see if I can get a better pic tomorrow.

Syrumani Thank you thank you because I couldn't for the life of me remember what my one mg was called.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Syrumani - Your Ensign mix is lovely. I've never seen one of those in real life. Are they large blooms or smaller blooms?

luvsgrtdanes - What is the name of your MG? I love that deep color!

Jackie - I really like both of yours! That blue is almost looks like an aqua color! Very, very pretty! The Lilac Luster is nice, too!

Kevin - Your Operculina brownii is realy different and almost reminds me of another flower/plant. Does it have a fragrance?

Emma - I had them marked and with all the down pouring rain we have had, it washed my markers away. (I did use cut-up blinds.) I now have a swamp area behind my fence and the markers got washed out there somewhere. I had planted all new ones and couldn't remember off the top of my head what all I had put out there a month or so ago. I am soooo mad!!! I also planted some up against my house and something has chewed the stems right off from the roots. Another major OUCH! So I am getting ready to start more in pots!

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky, OH NO!
Hey, at least you tried.

Maybe you could also have a backup file on paper or word doc. anything, where you can write down what you planted. I'm in the process of doing that myself as well.

Emma

Nichole, I really enjoyed growing Blue Ensign. Thank you for showing that excellent picture!

Kevin, that is one attractive flower!

Ronnie, your photos continue to knock my socks off, I like it a lot! LOL

Becky, I was going to say that the fine lines in the corolla of your latest posted flower resemble one that Cat was selling on eBay. It is very very nice.

Joseph

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Becky - this was the first Ensign bloom I've seen in real life, too! I didn't measure the bloom, but I don't think it was the 2" the seed packet said. Of course, it was the first bloom, so the others could get bigger. I'll need to ask Grow_Jo how big her blooms were.

Joseph - this was the first time I've grown them. The packet said it was a mix, so we'll see if any of the other colors open. There are 5 plants, so the chances are good!

Every day is an adventure, Nichole!

Emma - Yes, I thought I had added the MG names to my garden bed layout, but I don't think the names are correct. The names I wrote down were "Lavender Beauty" and "Ben Chidori"/"Gray Fog" (probably meaning the names weren't positive on the seed packet). Are those some of the ones you sent me, Emma?

Joseph - Do you happen to remember what Cat called her MGs?

I could not find it readily, maybe someone can help out?

Here is another series of flower photos. What fun it is waking up and finding such treasures waiting for me!

Here's another.
