Thank you. Mine looks completely different today. When I click on the user's name, it's taking me right to the member page now. It's just perfect! :-) It's great. :-)

Dave temporarily disabled the new features to see if they were causing slowdowns for people. If they weren't causing the slowdowns then they'll probably be back, if they were causing the slowdowns then I guess it depends on whether there's a way to make them work without slowing things down for people.

I miss them.......

I figured it would take me a while to get used to the new features, the pic's etc ... but it was fine .... I liked the photo's the new way. Hope all the bugs are out soon and that everyone can be patient (my family would laugh at me saying that cause I ususally am very impatient!) Sometimes it's hard to accept change when you are used to doing things a certain way ... but, change teaches us patience sometimes. Hope it all works out ... Dave is just keeping us on our toes!

Wow, I don't know what you did, but when I logged on this morning I had a different page - guess it was the DG Welcome Page or something and I had to log in....I did, and now I can use my "Manage " thingys from the My Info Page. Cool! I'm jazzed!! Thank you!

Maybe that's the answer, maybe some people have to log out and back into their Dave's account to be able to access the new features... It might be dependent on your personal computer if you have to do such...

I think the new changes are wonderful and add sparkle to an already lively group of people! I also happen to be on dial-up (no choice), and I have not found that the changes have slowed down an already slow process to any further degree.

Shari, my computer does that to me sometimes too. I never log out of DG on my own, but sometimes when I open my browser and go to DG, I find that I am somehow logged out. I don't know why it happens, but it does.

I find that happens when I've cleared my cache of cookies, including the few that I want to keep, like DG.

Yes - it happens when you clear out the cookies. Also, things will load slower if you have cleaned out your temporary files.

I had a window open this morning and I was logged into DG. Came home from church and refreshed that same window and I was logged out. No one touched the computer while I was gone.

Hmmmm ... then, the answer to that is out of my realm. Sorry.

Maybe my dog uses the pc while I'm gone and I just don't know it? I'll have to set up a camera and find out. ;o)

I know for a fact that my cats love to lay on the keyboard. I have found some weird websites that way!! 8>)

LOL Mine would love to lay on my computer desk, but I kick her off of it everytime I catch her on it. We have a pull out tray underneath the desk that the keyboard is on anyway, so she can't lay on that.

My computer is a laptop, so it's pretty much 'tabletop', and that's where the cats always seem to be!

Yep, kinda hard to kick 'em off that when that's where they like to be. :o)

I have mine set to automatically clear the cache every 7 days or so....maybe that's what's happening?

Hey, that could be it. I'll have to write this time down and then see when it happens again. Thanks! (I know, I could just look at the preferences, but I'm too lazy! LOL)

From what I gather from the computer whizzes out here, in order for something new to be available to you, you have to log out of where you were (with the old stuff), and then log back in to access the new stuff. I didn't know that. But - my DH had cleaned and updated the pooter - shut down and all that stuff, the day before yesterday - which is obviously why I had to log in.....and now I can use everything. So, for me anyway, I guess that's what did it.
