Morning Glories 2007 # 08

Mesilla Park, NM

You all have to see these to believe it when I say these are DARK.. and any pic taken with my camera is usually lighter than what it really is, so you can only imagine how dark these are.

Woofen's Purple Star mix.. just gorgeous..

I have a few more to upload and will post them later this morning.

Good thing I don't do this every day... I take up all the thread..sorry about that ..it's just that it is easier to load them all for the day, than to do it every so often.. Hope you all don't mind it.

Gourd - All your blooms are so gorgeous! Seriously!!! I am partial to purple/lavendar colors so the Fuji Wisteria Tie Dye and Plum Tie Dye are really nice! Emma did some great crossing!

Beth, congrats on your lovely Gypsy Bride blooms. I have bud set too and
I'm so happy

A, your blooms are breathtaking. I see it's impossible to pick a favorite.

Anybody know what happened to X? I hope she isn't having dizzy spells again!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

She was having problems with her vision too.

X is missed here very much. I hope she is ok. I wondered if she got anything she liked from the canna seeds I sent. She started some of the ukigumo x youjiro experiment seeds too.

Gourd, your wisteria tie dye looks like it has some oxidation in the pistil and anthers so that particular flower might not make any seeds. Keep an eye out for ones that look more like the pink from the kongo pack. This will probably get better on its own just keep an eye on them.

That last one could be a photo contest winner!

Thank you! Believe it or not these flowers arranged themselves like that! I didn`t have to rig anything up. It was neat seeing these colors like this. The mix has good variety.

gardener2005 - Love the photo of the 3 blooms together! Definitely picture perfect!!! :-)

GiddyMoon, yes I purchased the seeds from Leng Leng. I have used the term "Asagao Dancers" to describe the subjects in some of the pictures I have taken. This is not a recognised name for any strain that I am aware of....though I kind of like it....

I purchased the seeds which were described as lavender willow or dianthus flowered, blue willow flowered and Crystal Willow I believe. Some of the plants have been quite variable, especially the lavender series. Because the initial seed count purchased is relatively low and of unknown heritage, the grow out of each lot may or may not contain plants carrying all the desireable traits. Only time will tell if I can stablize a system containing the maple willow, duplicate, and delicate genes from these plants...

Did you purchase some of these seeds as well?

Oh! I really enjoyed all the photo entries above. Some real beauties.
