OK, here is a new thread ready to capture the new pictures. Here is The biggest flower I have seen in my garden so far. This is from a Akatsuki Mix I received from MGJ in the seeds for seasonings exchange.

Nice blooms!
patootie - I love your little Rosita MG bloom! Very pretty indeed! :-)
Thanx Becky.
Love the Rosita Jackie!! Looking forward to mine!!
Thanks Joseph and Ronnie.
Karen, that flower is gorgeous..
Jackie, I can hardly wait to see my Rosita also.. I like the lines on yours.
A, I'm hoping for a bloom on Rosita that looks like the one pictured at
seedman.com. It probably won't happen. I have 3 Rosita's and one of
them had foliage that was different from the other 2 early on. Now it looks more
like the other 2. Hoping it will produce a different bloom.
Dee love your pics, especially the Raiko and the mutant ribbon bloom
Jackie
Nice blooms Beth. Wish I had started a Milky Way
Patootie,
I grew out some open pollinated yagurumas and also some that were hand pollinated. The open pollinated ones produed a few blue spoked flowers and the hand pollinated one produced a vine looking just like the parent plant yaguruma.
The large flowered one I put up was about 6-7 in My palm is 3 in so you can sort of compare. Karen
I'm glad my Sydney looks like your Sydney, Giddymoon. I have gotten so many misidentified seeds lately I am naturally suspicious!
I bought a lot of seeds that aren`t what they were supposed to be. They were obviously open pollinated or the seller gave me the wrong seeds. For the most part 98 % of sellers on ebay have got it together. If they tell you they are open pollinated then you know they might not come out exactly like the picture. Some sellers have so many home grown nils and other types of morning glories for sale that I seriously doubt they are hand tied pods unless they have 100s of little elves running around bagging and tying blooms.
That is another reason I`m bagging or tying my blooms this year. That is the only way to help ensure my own seeds I save for myself will come out right.
Here is a result of F2 grow out of a Fuji x ukigumo cross. I got three different looks. This is the "I don`t have anywhere else to put them" method of growing JMGs. I did Not arrange them this way. It is so neat to see how these flowers can arrange themselves for you just to get their picture made in the morning.

I don`t normally grow them this way but thought it was funny that these flowers were not going to wait for me to fix up their spot. They bloomed very quickly and I suspect maybe because they were started later than the others.
Oh yes, the huge flower in the first post has a normal tube. The pistil and anthers do have a thickness at the base but it isn`t reversing. Karen
