not this time though re Baseball sized hail.....it was just golf ball size. Big enough to make us worry that our windshield might be smashed.
I think I'm going to give up on Gardening.........
Oh, Pam......I'm so sorry.
B
Pam, have a good rest tonight, it'll be all better in the morning. Great shots though, I'd be hiding inder the car. Be safe.
Linda
Oh Pam - how heartbreaking to see all that devastation. I'm so glad no one was seriously injured, although that bruise on your DH's shoulder probably hurts like the dickens.
(((((((Pam)))))))
--Ginny
Good grief! That's one scary storm. Sorry to hear of all the damage. I hope things look better this morning.
Nope doesn't look better out there but such is life.....my father did pick up a flat of plants to replace some of what is lost however. :)
Not much left to look at in my yard but the garage is getting more interesting looking :S (they made me promise I'd take pics of their finished work). Shooting come #%&& or high water (or hail....no tornadoes please) starts tomorrow.

Looks like a very interesting set, Pam. Keep those pics coming. Maybe it's good to have some distraction from your flattened garden patch. Did you have your tropicals outside during this storm?
Everything was out there Brenda but most have at least a partial (1" to 3") stem and some were left with one leaf so they may recover by August (somewhat ;).
Thank you for the good wishes ladies!
Even your brugs? What a disaster for you - and all the Moosejaw farmers.
How about your pond. Saw the lily under water.
inanda
Yep the farmers losses have certainly been on my mind too. It headed up to Yorkton after leaving here so I imagine quite a wide swath has been flattened to the ground.
That leaf had been on the surface (along with 50 or 60 others).......DH reported that a bud has now cleared the surface (I'm so happy it was below the surface yesterday).
lilypon.... how awful to get wiped out before you really got started. I really feel for you. I do hope that all that can regrow does and does it fast :) Wish we could all come out and help rake and rebuild it for you.
Take care of yourself.
Bea
How devastating for you - my sympathies.
Joanne
Thank you for your concern Bea and Joanne.....most of the yard is cleaned up now (including one of my ponds). One blessing was that my water lilies were sending up a number of new leaves prior to the storm so they should be visible very soon. :) 3 buds are also now above the surface. They are one plant the hail couldn't destroy. Ü
Well while we were busy taking pics someone else was getting us in their camera's viewfinder.....we are in the red car.

Oh Inanda (Ginny) I also had an Ensata about to bloom (it, of course, was neatly sliced off). :(((
Pam
So sorry to hear about the storm! Your photo's are super and it looked to me like tornado clouds!
Ann
If Lynn (jagonjune) is around we made up signs a number of years ago that listed some of the early members here and how many miles away they were. Now most were taken off the garage but one was left on it (the one with Jagonjune). It is off the the side (not in my pic) but it may make it into their shoot.
They had a wonderful time decorating with my junk and theirs (our house is the house of the scientist).
That is really neat to have your home and neighbourhood used in a film. What is the name of the movie they are doing? Who are the lead actors or actresses?
I bet it is the talk of the town and you have a front row seat:)
With any luck this will provide the much need distraction and your garden will regrow while you are looking at the show.
Thanks or sharing these and keep us filled in as it progresses.
Bea
Pam, I couldn't get over the golfball sized hail - and how big your veggie plot is! So sorry about the damage. How long did the storm last?
Cool to have a film crew in your house, do you get to be an extra?
Sandy
Bea
Nope (re extra) didn't ask and I'm glad I'm not. :) We are expecting 36 Celcius tomorrow (yesterday and today were pretty warm too (not sure what the feels like will be tomorrow :S). .... today our back yard was covered with a black tent and so was our garage (night scenes shot in the day). They are bringing an air conditioner in for the neighbour's house and our garage tomorrow. ;) The title of the movie is "Finn on the Fly".....no idea what it may be called when it is released.
Lead Actress :Ana Gasteyer (Saturday Night Live) She's the Scientist (and I posted a pic of her above....she's wearing the pink tank top/standing on the ladder/ looking over our garage roof) http://broadwayworld.com/galleryperson.cfm?personid=998

Following her triumphant Broadway debut as Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show, Gasteyer has continued her work on the New York stage in Manhattan Theatre Club's hit production of Kimberly Akimbo by celebrated playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. In addition, Let It Rip!, Gasteyer's one-woman musical extravaganza, will encore this spring at Joe's Pub in New York City.

Sannanie the hail lasted between 10 to 15 minutes. BTW the greenhouses here are doing a wonderful job of clearing out their plants this year. ;)

That garage door could very well be ours:) Things go into it and where they disappear to no one knows, it is a danger.
I had no idea they used black tents but then why not beats working days and nights.
I do hope you are able to get something going in the garden again.
I am off to look up those links.
Bea
Yep it probably could stay up here too (except it will be a little lighter/neater/organized when it's repacked). ;)
Todays pics.........I truly don't know how they survived under those lights esp. the director and cameramen who spent the day on the roof of the neighbour's porch under a black tent and with a huge light! :S
