another group of daylilies - Thanks!
RU pictures.... enjoy!!!!
Michaela, I'd like to take credit for the Sedum, but they are not mine, lol.
The small Marigolds could be mine, they were in yogurt cups. Very nice yellow/red flowers that rival Mums in Autumn. Most other plants I brought would require a Macro lens to photograph, lol.
It's nice to see the plants in the ground.
I too, would have liked to know who donated which plants. I remember a few I got from Karen because I helped unload her car.
I have a couple yet to be planted, 2 reddish annuals Debi brought have gone into larger pots. They will replace some wild Daisies when they fade. I don't allow those Daisies to set seed but they pop up everywhere anyway.
If the sedum was in little pots and it just said sedum on it then it might have been me. I have no idea what sedum it is so i just wrote "sedum" on the plant pot. Same with the daylilies......they were in pots but most had the name on the pot.
Well, I got your sedum and daylilies, pixie. The sedum are in my yard - the daylilies are around the fountain - I can't wait until they bloom. If I really like the daylilies, I will wait until they are big enough to divide and take some for my yard :-) Thanks!
Celeste, I got 2 sedums and baby blues... and Navajo Princess!!!! and they I have to post a picture of the lillies you sent me before... they are doing so well!!!
I planted about 10 coleus... and I have some more things to plant... I keep debating where to plant them!!!!
I have seedlings of california poppies... they are about 1 inch... can I transplant them??? my little experimental bed is looking pretty pathetic... and I want to plant other things there...
I have 2 daturas blooming... both single purple!!!! oh what a pretty flower!!! and also a tiny Black eye susan vine with 6 flowers... oh I am in love with that great looking flowers.... love the orange... next year I am going to plant more seeds... actually I am going to wintersow those... I really like it...
Kassia - can you post a picture of your purple datura? I would like to see what mine might look like.
pirl sent lots of things too....coleus, hosta, and daylilies I think. She really deserves a big thank you too!
You're right! Pirl did send stuff - you two are wonderful!
Hey everybody!!!!! My first time back in DG since Kassia's Round Up. I have pictures to post from my camera. I was just spending a week in New Mexico helping my sister with her new babies.
I'm going to bed now. Just wanted to check in.
Harper
Hi Harper! I can hardly wait to see your photos! did you have fun in New Mexico?
hi Harper!!!! good that you came back!!!! you have a dmail!!!
Harper, did you say new babies, as in more than one at once? Wow, you're a good sister. We've missed you.
I got some pretty yellow-flowering tiny sedum, many thanks to whomever brought it, I've stuck it here, there and everywhere.
x, C
Yup, I had fun! Pictures in the NE Forum!
Carrie, yes, new babies, but more like "Irish twins". They're just over a year and a month apart. The older one has down syndrome, but she's a real trooper and what a love! The new one is two months premature and a real sweetie too.
I think the sedum came from Pirl, along with the astilbe, coleus... and more. she sent a lot of stuff!
Harper
Wow, Harper, she has her hands full! What a nice sister you are.
Thank you, Pirl, I took some sedum and some coleus.
xx, Carrie
My other sister, who lives in New Mexico also was getting exhausted taking care of my sister, her babies, our mom and dad... and so on, so it's not that great that I went out to help for only a week, but it's all I could take off.
Thanks for the compliments though.
:)
carrie, your sedum is already blooming??? mine are not... and I think I took some of the same ones you got!
Oh, I have a teeny tiny leafed one with tiny chartreuse/yellow flowers, at least I thought they were flowers. Maybe they're just the tips of the hanging stalks?
xxx, Carrie
I have some too (chartreuse sedum) I planted it at the foot of my sea hollies.
I went and looked today, Kassia. The chartreuse sedum Michaela and I are talking about IS flowering, but there's another kind, much much bigger and nowhere near doing anything yet. Fear not!
xxx, Carrie
I will take picture of mine!!!
who brought all the coleus in small and cute 2in green plastic pots??? they made a good border on my afternoon shade garden...
also, if any of you is missing a folding chair... I just found it yesterday when I was organizing the garage!!!
You organize your garage?
xxxx, Carrie
yes... it's much easier to find things... I tend to forget I have some things.. and buy it again... now I am trying to save money to buy more gardening things... this year I am requesting my family to give me gardening related gifts... and I told them that my xtmas is actually in April!!!
So true, Kassia - My DH was dumbfounded when I told him I wanted long-handled garden tools for christmas!
lol! they are already convinced I am addicted... so I just hope they take me seriously!!!!
Get some bright orange paint or tape (or both) and mark all your tools with it. Really helps find them in the garden. I'm working on a 'clapper' feature that will cause the tools to stand up after you clap.
I am going to put together a list of plants - maybe even roses - and tell DH to order them for me. Actually - other than roses, there probably isn't room for much more - maybe I will get him to order a large rambling rose to climb the evergreen at the side of the yard - something that can handle having only 5-6 hours of sunshine per day.
that would look good . . . And it would be a cheap xmas present - Hey! we are having our 30 wedding aniversay this year - ummm . . . but that's probably too late to plant a rose here. Well,, order it now - get it next April.
That's brilliant, Victor! I am always misplacing my tools!
Oh Seandor, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! A few years ago my SD noticed that her father, DH, was spending a LOT of time in the garden (only at my command, of course). So she got him gardening gloves, a kneeling pad, and a "welcome to my garden" sign! Along with a few other gardening things. Now if only she'd gotten him a nice gardening apron!
xxx, Carrie
Yeah, Happy Anniversary Michaela! 30 years is a long time nowadays.
Does it count if it feels like 30??
How many years has it been Victor?
In real time - 16 years. Or as I prefer to say, a full head of hair's worth.
Uh oh. I thought you were happily married?
Guess it should feel like 16 years then. Bah! ha ha ha!
