Very nice Allison! Can you change the size of the photos on that site?
What's blooming today # 2
yes there are several different layouts .... from full screen to thumbnail ... but it's only the default size for each template .. you can not change the photo size of the template... hope that makes sense
Not really. Can the 'prints' that we click on be made bigger??
not on that particular layout

Kim
Thanks. It's a new one from Aitkens, purchased just last year so it was a grand surprise when it opened.
Wow - beautiful, Pirl!
OMG! Your Japanese iris is stupendous, pirl :-)
Thanks Pirl - got the rose from my mother-in-law and it was sickly looking from overwatering. I planted it in tapla's mix and it has done great. Your iris is so beautiful - I want one!!!! Eleanor
Heck! I want three!
Michaela :-)
Great pictures everyone!
Victor, I love thay waterlily.
Pirl, that iris is outstanding. When I looked at the thumbnail I was thinking "How is this an iris?" So full. How many petals?
'Crested Surf' - I think it has 6 falls. Thanks.
you people are going to get me in trouble with my honey.... now i love your Japanese iris too
bad bad flower people
:)
Bad?
Virtue is its own punishment!
I do like the 'veins' on that flower Pirlene. Do those flowers last any longer than TB's?
Here's one on dial up. What a pain, but I live at the end of 3 miles of gravel road, and have been told it will be a cold day in you know where before we get anything close to high speed. Also, as you discuss botanical gardens, I'll throw in my endorsement of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. It's a treasure and an inspiration.
I think you said the JI' blooms last about as long as the bearded, correct?? Such a bummer about Iris. Why can't they last as long as Lilies??
Two days, Al, like most of my TB's.
Illiniguy - hopefully we'll keep that in mind and create Part II's more often. Just let us know when it gets too long for you. We are the nicest forum!
great roses... just in case you missed it we moved on to a new thread

Here's Amaryllis 'Back from the Dead'. My other two are leafing out and may bloom for Christmas.
I had a great time at NYBG. I had to pay a dollar to get into the rock garden and the native garden, but it was the best dollar I have ever spent in the Big Apple. My Arnold Arboretum card got me into the grounds. My daughter and I took about 190 pictures there. Hydrangeas were spectacular, as well as the whole entire rock garden. I loved it.

Next time, I will let you NY DG'ers know when I will be in town and we can meet here. I have been to BBG and the Queens Botanic Gardens as well. My sister in law was married there.
Martha
I love the NY Botanical Garden! I missed going to the orchid show this year.
Very nice Martha!
see above -- there's a new thread ...
Any Tips on how to grow delphiniums in a garden where the temperature often exceeds 95F? I love the plants but they are usually annuals for me here .
Arfitz, I have the same problem. Others here do better but you posted this on a very outdated thread. Try starting a new thread or getting on to #5 of this thread.
Good luck.
