Polly - you never fail to impress me with your knowledge.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I find it interesting. You can be the iris guru!

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks, this is my passion. Better say my flower passion.

Timely correction before Victor, Dave and Al comment.

Pirl, I was answering Candy about the hail and my plants. The hail parted my Rugosa bush down the middle but all the other plants are fine. Clear now? LOL

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Aha! Yes. This thread has been so busy today! Polly is the only one actually doing anything.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Polly is done. Just went out and did a little more weeding, stood up, and felt the enough is enough feeling. I don't have an awful lot of weeds this year, and have kept on top of it pretty good, probably as it has been so dry.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

May I send you directions to our gardens?

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Nope, going shopping.

Give me a break, if you have any weeds in your garden, they're shivering in fear.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I always laugh at these oxalis, because they get big so sneakily I always find a huge one that gets missed.

This thread has given me motion sickness.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Is this a coreopsis? I planted it several years ago and it only blossomed the first year. I've forgotten what it was. Maybe it only blossomed the one time because the other years it got devoured by woodchucks!! Eleanor

Yes.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

These are few of my sedums that didn't get crushed when we had our trees taken down. The sea of yellow on the slope would have been pretty, but I have just a few left. Eleanor

Eleanor - many of the low creeping ones have yellow flowers and aren't a big expense. You could mingle a few together and it would look very nice with the different leaves on each of them.

Whoever took down the trees certainly left you with a replanting job and ruined what had been so lovely.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

such a shame grammy.... i planted some of that same yellow on one of my slopes... can't believe how fast it's spreading.. very pretty though

It's so beautiful Joy, lush and green!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Joy - enjoy what blooms for you whenever it blooms. We can't compete, weather wise, with California or Florida and I don't get into those contests. It's a waste of time. Their plants are the first to get cooked in summer time heat.
