Lavender Mist two flowers, one with reversed tube.. don't know if you can see the smaller one.. I really like these, they look very translucent and crinkley/ruffly for lack of a better word, "crepe like". The larger one almost had a reversed tube also,

Fuji no Kongo Pink reversed tube.. this one is so nice, it is very small but light and delicate.

Thank you Joanne,
I'm learning a whole lot around here, with maggie at my side (magnifying glass) lol. keeping track of them is also a challenge, but a nice one.

I have a couple more that needed uploading.

Bud on plant in with Hanahubuki.. dont' know if it is the same plant. It looks like it is ready to talk, might be shredded.. or just torn petals. Also had a Chocolate flower bloom but must have deleted it from the card.

Congrats on the solid red Scarlett O'Hara, Antoinette!!

Look at the size of these pods, they belong to the Unidentified Blue flower in the same pot with I. nil Cornell

Thank you Joseph,
we must have been writing at the same time. I can hardly wait to see your SOH also.

My vines are about 3 inches tall, their flowers will be a while in coming!

Here is a flower bud of an unknown JMG. I hope it shows its flowers soon before the mites take them away again.

Here are some representative leaves from this unknown JMG.

Here is the JMG I posted earlier in another thread, #3 perhaps? It looks like it will be making seeds for me.

Here are some seedlings of Merremia dissecta, nice robust looking plants.

Here are seedlings of an unknown Ipomoea species, any thoughts on what it might be?

These are I. hederacea, thanks, Ron!

My Hewittia malabarica has mites on it and I thought I would use biocontrol agent of lacewing larvae to clean the pests off; I released the lacewing eggs in the bran material they arrived in a few days ago and today there are some rather plump looking predatory insects cruising the leaves. I hope they stick around after they become adults!

Gerris2 - regarding the young plants that you posted here

likely possibilities include Ipomoea cordatotriloba,Ipomoea hederacea and Ipomoea nil...

Nice plants, Joseph!

Here's a suprise from this morning:

Joseph,
Take a cotton ball saturated with some alcohol and wipe the leaves it may just kill enough of them long enough to get some seeds. Do that a couple of times, it may dry them up a bit, but the new leaves coming up won't have the mites.
edited to add: I forgot to say that maybe you can cut off a couple of the leaves too so that you don't have that many to clean off..

Nice flower Syrumani, I love that color..

Those are some beautiful blooms and promising young plants. Nice :)

Here is one that came out interesting. It shows the decolored crest like the youjiro parent. I don`t think it is a ray pattern but it is de colored crest.

Those are youjiro x berry ice F2 grow outs. They remind me of stained glass and boy they do have my attention. I wonder if they will come back like this? Decisions of Which ones to save selfed pods for more grow outs without exeeding my space limitations is not easy. :)

Now,I`m really leaving. I have to clean the fridge and mop floors. Oh boy, I can`t wait! lol :)

This one has an intriguing pattern, especially the dual-white scalloping at the far end of the midpetal line as the beginnings of a margined type of pattern...very nice(!)...

I'm not seeing what you are referring to as a "decolored crest like the youjiro parent"

Please point out the decolored crest on the youjiro that you are referring to...

These two bloomed this morning. The smaller is Blue Blizzard and the larger looks to be Henka Asagao. Correct me if I am wrong, please. :-)

Hi Ron,

The declored crest is number 12 on the chart. It is a lightening affect that resembles paint drying. I have seen this on my blue Mt Fujis and the blue youjiros. It does not show up every day and I suspect weather, temp and humidity may play a part in this feature showing on the blooms.

This is the next flower on the exact same marked vine and this time the de colored crest is not showing. I know it isn`t a ray pattern because those tend to get more apparent and do not fail to show up once it becomes apparent. These de colored crest flowers have been showing the markings one day and then another day not showing the markings and then still another day it is back again.

Karen
