(Zone 1)

I won't be able to play May Bingo ... but good luck to everyone!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Bummer, plantlady!!! I forgot you will be having a good time ......have fun.......

(Zone 1)

Yes ... we already have our flight reservations and hotel reservations also ... our plans may change, depending on my Dad's health situation. So, I have to pass the Bingo game for May. Hopefully I will be able to make June's game.

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

Where ya' goin' Lin? Got room in your suitcase for me?

(Zone 1)

Well Gardengram ... we have reservations in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a week in Mid May. We love the Smokey Mountains and try to go once a year! But, our plans may change because my Dad has prostate cancer that has spread and we aren't sure about the timing of our trip right now. Even if we don't go to the Mountains I still won't have time for Bingo next Month.

Hee Hee .... you asked if there was room in the suitcase for you before you even knew where I was going!

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

I just love traveling!! I've never been to Pigeon Forge, but it would be even nicer if you were going to Ireland, though!! LOL

(Zone 1)

Oh yeah ... I hear you Gardengram! Ireland is always in my dreams! As I think I told you, I have Irish heritage ... on my Mom's side ... County Cork.

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

Yes I remembered. That's why I suggested Ireland. My ancestors also came from County Cork. Wouldn't it be cool if your ancestors and mine were friends/neighbors? Or maybe they would have been like the Hatfields and McCoys!

Buffalo, WV(Zone 7a)

I'll play May bingo but I have to unwatch this thread because it's way to long for my dial up.

St Joseph, IL(Zone 5b)

Ladies,
I think I'm going to set this month out. I have a 23yr old getting married on May 19th and I'm just putting finishing touches on a lot of dresses, NOT hers. Thank God she bought that, but ...and my twin sis is helping me sew 7 bridesmaids (kiwi green) and 3 flower girls dresses (white taffeta with kiwi green sashes) ...just beautiful and almost done.

I look forward to this thread and your entertaining posts and will play the next month.

Laura

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Good luck with the final preparations...it is a wonderful time, I know!

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

Laura,
I understand your situation. I have a 22-yr-old grandson getting married on May 12th and I am doing all the flower arrangements (silk) for the wedding party (three bridesmaids and two flower girls and the appropriate number of guys to match), all the corsages and boutinnieres, the church itself and the reception hall. I only have one table centerpiece and five more pew bouquets to do. This has really stretched my limits, as I have never done a complete wedding before. I am pleased with the way things have turned out and the bride is ecstatic, so I guess we're good to go. I've had flowers strung all over my living room for about as long as I can stand it.

When my older daughter got married, I made her dress, three bridesmaids dresses and my dress. I don't know which is worse--all the sewing or all the flowers. I am glad to be about done and I know you will be glad also. Your colors sound really gorgeous, if I understand kiwi green. I'm dealing with a pretty bright pink and a pretty purple. Hang in there and enjoy the moment. It's almost over--for both of us. I still have four granddaughters and three more grandsons that aren't married yet. Maybe they'll like pink and purple also, whadda' think?

If you are almost done, maybe you can get into the Bingo game. Would hate for you to miss it.

Thank you for the offer, Gail. I may very well have you do that for the couple of days I will be out of town for the wedding. Allison got me involved in this and these games have been so much fun that I don't want to stop altogether, even for one month. Someday I might just win.
