I'm going to try and make the call about 7:30 am my time...Pacific Daylight. I'm writing this right now at 7:00 pm, if that helps you to compare time zones.

Hopefully, you can see the varigation is cream and pink! So wonderful...she hasn't bloomed for me yet but how can I complain? I have two leaf pots overflowing with her babies...

I am playing catch up with you ladies....this addiction took place a couple of months ago.....am frantically growing so I can reach a point of doing exactly what you are doing now by sharing....wouldn't be any fun to grow and keep!!!!!
Gail, I agree with you. Almost all of my AV's are from leaves and plants given to me by others on this forum. It's just the coolest feeling in the world to receive a box of goodies full of little plants, leaves or leaf pots! And I'm telling you, it's as much fun to give them away as it is to receive them!!
Last spring, I was a newbie and didn't know my av's from a hole in the ground. This spring I've got a whole bunch of violets in bloom and four light shelves full of av's in various stages of life. It's a riot ~LOL!!!
I just lucked into 23 mini av's that are to die for!!!! I made two pages of 11 collage, but they won't come up on here....dad gummit......I should have put 4 to a page......the hardest part is that now I have to get rid of most of my Wally world av's to make room under the gro-lights OR go make another set of lights just for propagating....
I am so taken with this family of plants, I am losing my interest outside AND I need the exercise of tilling the ground and growing flowers for the birds, butterflies and cut flowers to give away....

Oh, we are all in the same boat, aren't we. AV's and other Gessie's can be such an addiction! I have always grown one or two AV's since 1969 when my Dear Mother In Law introduced me to this lovely plant. But, never got so addicted as I have since joining DG. last October! So, I can blame it on everyone of you who post your beautiful photo's on this forum! I have two large Very Crowded plant stands right now and I really need to be a better AV "Mom" and give them more space! I know that is the problem with some of them and their growth patterns! They need more space between them! If I let myself, I know I could end up with 8 - 10 stands with lights and the whole shebang! I would never get anything else done! And, I have a lot of other house plants and outdoor plants I would hate to neglect totally, so I need to begin to curb my addiction of AV's a bit! Easier said than done! I really am going to try to cut back for a bit. It's not fair to all these plants!
