If I bring beer, I don't want to be held responsible for Weegy's and Crystalspin's antics !!! LOL (remember you two...Fiona will be there, so you have to set a good example!!!)
Not too worry Mike.

Donna suggested a dessert. We already have a Sopapilla Cheesecake.....with Pineapple (sounds yummy) --- so would it be okay to bring a standard cheesecake? It’s a family recipe that’s really rich and creamy. I can also bring some walk around finger desserts like homemade chocolate chip cookies. Let me know if this is OK or if something else would work better.
Hey TL...There is nothing better than a walk-around chocolate....especiallly in a cookie!! Jo
Hi guys, if you haven't posted what you're bringing as far as food would you mind doing it so we can update this thread? Anyone else on the list in the first post in this thread I haven't added?
I'm bringing shoo-fly pie, which an "eat in the hand" dessert, in case you're not familiar with it.
Got it already!
Yep, I just thought someone might not know what it is. I often get weird looks when I mention it - but only before it's been tasted!
I think you all should put a cookbook together of all the great foods you will be having at this R/U :o)
Kathleen,
What is in the filling?
Is anything else needed? Any suggestions on what I could bring?
kanita
Hah! I knew someone would ask. It's similar in consistency to gingerbread, perhaps a little more moist. Main ingredient is molasses, hence the name. There are different versions, depending on where the recipe comes from - south or north. Mom is from Pennsylvania.
Kanita,
maybe trash bags, drink cups, etc.
any salad is always appreciated.
Great! Done.
In addition to guacamole I will make a batch of pickled eggs, beets, onions.
I don't think we need any trash bags. Don could tell you as he usually has that part covered.
We could always use some more salads Kassia. We have a lot of people to feed. lol
Donna, I think you mean kanita.....?
You know, for some reason, I've been confusing those two names myself. It will be great when we meet people and have a face to put with a name.
Yep, Sherry, I meant Kanita. :-)
Okay, salad then.
Thought I had best check in here. I will bring some sort of salad. We will not be there til about noon due to an awards to do for the kids.
Janice
Are we definitely okay with deserts? As in will there be more browies like last time? (hint hint to whoever made the deserts) oh yeah, and will there be more pineapple salad? (another hint)
kanita
Uh oh, am I slacking?!?! I was camping this weekend, had an awesome time! Ok, will update this soon.
Who wants to go see the beach boys and Chubby Checker and the Diamonds.
Post any names here I've missed please with what you're bringing.
I did not see fresh fruit on the list above so perhaps I will bring that.
Hi All,
Just to be clear, Roadrunner is bringing the "***FAMOUS Sopapilla Cheesecake.....with Pineapple". I can't even begin to top that.
I am brining a REGULAR OLD (well newly made) cheesecake and chocolate chip cookies and maybe brownies - depending on how much time I have.
OH DEAR! So much fame to live up too!! LOL Jo
Ha. The pressure is on!
Ooooh - lots of chocolate! Regular old cheesecake is good! I think I'll start and end with desert - just for a change - so I can have both kinds.
Jo's famous cheesecake was the hit of "pirl's" mothers day get together in New York...!!!
