Hope all goes well with your pets. I just paid a $380.00 vet bill for my sick cat who just quit eating and drinking. She got seriously dehydrated. Vets can't come up with a diagnosis.
And, if that's not enough, this morning I had to take my dog to the vet for a skin and ear infection.
While we're on pets, my neighbor shot his back door neighbor's dog (8 lb lap dog) yesterday, while she was in her own back yard! Just because he didn't like her barking at him as he walked close to the edge of the property line. What are people thinking? How sad.

CLOSED: Charlie and the Choc Factory Seed Swap
lol Deb on the vet. We lost our 2 year siamese male. Took him in for getting his dingaling thingy cut off and he died on the table. Vet said it was first time he ever had a cats heart stop beating that he couldn't shock back to life. First time he ever lost a cat. Vet is a cat specialist for over 40 years now. Did the autopsy, turned out he had feline heart desease. Noway to tell they have it unless you test them specifically for it. Turns out the catery we got him from lost 7 cats this way. Parents were carriers. Both did us in. We love our animals so much, like losing an arm or something.
Hope your kitty gets to feeling alot better.Hate when animals suffer.

Melissia, I'm glad the bad pet food was not the cause in either my cat nor dog. That was the vet's first concern. Robin, Thank goodness heart problems were ruled out too. I do have some good news about them, though.
I have a 3 team of vets running tests on my cat. They were getting to a point of sending her to a specialist. She's been ill for two weeks. Late last night, I had offered her a dish of kitten milk replacement. Low and behold she spit or coughed up some about the size of a silver dollar. Right dab in the middle of it was what looked like a sticker of some description. It was a paper tab with gold foil on one side. Vets' think it was stick on her vocal cords. No my cat doesn't talk, LOL but her meow has been raspy. Hopefully she's on the road to recovery. Thank goodness she wasn't poisoned by the food recall. She had been eating one of the recall brands for seven years. In my dogs case, it's an ear and skin infection.

well it turns out the woman was a 16 year old girl who is trying to scam people. after she does the deal she changes it and gives them a sad sob story to get all her stuff back so she get's the puppy for free and she doesn't own the jewlery. so the police are going to take care of it. so i have 2 pups left out of 8. one is the runt we will be keeping her.
Hooray for the animals. Chock one up for them. Bet you are relieved that it is nothing major.

i got my mail today at the po and guess what??? i got in today a big box of daylilies, and a blooming size amaryllis and a wonka swap from dawg with a birthday card, yeah!! i have to go run and get these planted. hubby is going to help me outside today,lol. yesterday he fineally planted my huge hibiscus trees and i got to plant rose bushes he got me. not sure what all i get to enjoy today mabe he'll plant my fruit trees too. :-)

thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes everyone!! yes i have been playing in the dirt for a few days,lol. i'm finally starting to have a kitchen table again, yeah! i have all kinds of things comeing up to my surprize out there. belinda when stuff is up and blooming i will take lots of pics for you!! i have to take my cam card to walmart and have them put on a cd before i can upload as i blew my ports on my comp a few mths ago. so i wait till i get enough to make it worth a cd and a trip before i do them.
although yesterday was to be my day off,lol. i think i did 3x's the work. today before it decided to pour and thunder storm i had the chance to plant a new rose bush and pull up my asiatic and oriental lilies to move plus i got to help my neighber dig and transplant her first daffodils. so that was lots of fun she has never gardened,rotfl, we had a blast talking while we worked. all in all i have had a nice last few days. belinda must of sent me some of that nice weather in her be,lol. i have had to put the ac in cause it has been so hot here.

well i was gonna surprise ya all but i know the suspence is killen ya........all your wonka be's went back out yesterday for you!!!!! thank goodness i did cause i got a mad rush of trades in today and there is plants and boxes and all sorts of things all over now, rotfl. i've been a busy bee to get plant trades ready to go out soon too. i hope i didn't miss anything and forgive the stamps plastered on them,lol. i put them all together and put so much on the and then i had to have each weighed and any added i missed but i got them all so they should all be there soon to you.
i totally had a blast with meeting new friends through this swap, getting to know more of you, tradeing, being able to send stuff to others grandbabies and such, i hope you all enjoyed and had as much fun as i did. we all learned so much from each other too. i look forward to the next swap i host and am already getting thoughts and ideas together.
i only did one pk that was a dble and that was suzy's but the other 10 are different, some may be from the same person other than her 2pks but all the seeds inside are different, everyone got extra goodies and seeds, newbies got newbie packs, those who sent way to much postage and candy got more back also to help make up for it and all my trades are sent back in with my traders, trades from others were included for some and of course kali's junior be is included also for robin. i truely hope i remembered everything if anything is missing since it was a little confuseing a few times let me know what i missed.

I am doing pretty well now I must say but it seems to never end... this past week my brother in law had to also have surgery... When we met the doc who puts you under he said boy you look like I've seen you before ... I laughed and said more then likely on the table .LOL
I have to admit something here... I truly forgot about sending to your girl... now I feel like a heal... I will see by next Friday what I can come up with for her and try my best to remember... I am really brain dead...
I started up 14 big peat pots of gourds today.. I have been told I can grow in containers so this year I am going to try that and let them go up the fence.. I think less bugs also.... Will see...

Thanks silkie, I know we'll love it. I wasn't home today (out shopping for food yuk) so when I got back I stopped at the mailbox just knowing my be was in there, it wasn't. In fact there wasn't even a mailbox there. I thought heavy rains came and washed it down the ditch. NOT!!! It was completely gone. We started looking down the road, nothing, It was stolen. Then we decided to go the opposite direction, we found it at the top of the hill in the bushes. dang pranksters. But the mailman came directly to the house today to deliver the mail, my schrubs I ordered came in. yea! No be boo hoo.

oh robin that is so aweful but i had to laugh, sounds like something my neighber kid's would do just to tortcher me,lol.
well last night i sold the last puppy that needed a home to a real nice family the little boy one i mentioned above. oh my the lady fell inlove with him as soon as she saw his little face. it was hard to part with him i teared up. he wanted mommy and came across the desk to me snuggling right to my neck, i didn't want to leave him but i knew how much she loved him and what a loveing family he'd have. they were so excited they were takeing camera phone pics to text to her daughter of him and they were all so joyful over him. he loved her as long as he didn't see me,lol. i'm so happy he found someone so nice and her daughter saw some of his brothers at the petstore a few weeks ago. she went home to ask her mom if she could get one and came back an hour later the last one was sold 20 min before she returned. she was heart broken and they have wanted one since. funny how we actually all met and she bought the last brother puppy. and i got to keep my runt girl who i helped deliver, bottle feed and care for and fell in love with most. so all 8 puppies have forever homes i'm so thankful!!
just wanted to let ya all know i'm so glad i listened to my heart and to your advice to hold out for the right family for him instead of that crazy girl, now he will have a real loveing happy family, yeah!!!

Oh Robyn......................gf, I've been reading and catching up with your mail/mailbox saga~ and OH MY GOODNESS! What a disaster you have had with your mail. Darn 'ole mailmen, first of all - - - I'll tell you like I told Connie (pepsidrinker).........kill 'em with kindness. It works like a charm every single time. ;) And then theft of your mailbox? My word, why would anyone take a mailbox????? lol (kids, of course) They need something to pass their time by and what better than to steal mailboxes! lol I am sorry for all your troubles and hope you get your BE soon.
Mary, I am so glad you found all your babies a good home. I know how hard it is to give them up and taking such good care of them. Glad you got the good weather I sent ya! I was hoping it would help you out! :-) I too have been diggin' in the dirt a LOT lately. My gardens are coming to life again and I love it!

oh robin, i'm so sorry hun. i'm waiting on a box of amaryllis i thought would have been here mon. it's just got to be here tomarrow to i hope, i hope the plants will make it through parcel usually stuff from that state is pretty quick 3 days tops but it was mailed the 29th and not here yet.
i'm a seed junkie and a plantaholic i sure do know how ya feel. now the mail box disapear trick i couldn't imagine,rotfl i'd of hurt someone,lol. that's why i have a po box 2 i send all seeds and plants to it now cause i get me mail at 10 am there at home it's on the truck till 2:30- 4:30 depends on how long the maillady blabbers. who wants to wait that long and plants on the truck that long in this heat or rain i don't think anything would make it.
belinda, gf yes the weather you sent was so nice!! today was the second day i had to use my ac it was so hot and it hasn't been over 69 here but the sun is killer feels like it is 90. i'm affraid to see how hot summer will be i hope it don't kill all my babies.

It's here, OMG it's here. Yummy, Yummy, Yummy I got candy in my Tummy. Ghiradelli my favorite with raspberries. I'm melting. All the seeds WOW gfs, they are so great. Thanks for the swaps everyone and Thanks Mary for ours and for Kali's she going to flip. I've goota go and rummage some more and re-do all my flower bed pages and I gotta do this thing with the...OMG. I"m in heaven. I could go on and on but I gotta check it all out again and again.
I also got in 80 trees and 25 bushes today (my cost was $43.00 with S&H included). Too bad the weather won't play fair. I have to wait till next week to do any planting. Bye for now.
rotfl, i love it! i'm so glad you are happy and like everything. let me know what kali thinks when she gets her's too ok. i got in a garden whimsey today and it was a gorgous hummingbird whindchime and i got about 5 others with daylilies, spider lilies and some others i was in heaven too :-) my fav plant to come in was the corkscrew plant, can't remember the tec name but it looks like oompa loompa grass, rotfl, i love it!!! if ya haven't had this plant yet and ya love wacky wonka looking things like i do ya have to get some of it. looks like something out of a story book just way to kool looking!! my big box is not here yet i'm on pins and needles, i can't wait we'll see tomarrow......
i don't know about a corkscrew plant but i want unicorn rush and cat tails and water plants. Actually i want a bunch of things.
Kali loved it all, her eyes were like saucers when she saw the seeds. she put her soap in a container in the bathroom so it would smell pretty. she loves it all.
she kept looking at my seeds, i think she want to trade with me now. rofl.
