Boy does that picture look dusty, I need a new camera, bad...

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Your beds are going to look mighty stylish Connie! You picked up some really adorable things.: )

Those are so cute, Connie. On the camera, you can clean the lens just make sure you use lens cleaning stuff and don't scratch it. (Same stuff made for eyeglasses will work.) If you have a lens cap, keeping it on the lens will really help keep it clean.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Nancy that tricycle planter, I have had my eye on it for ever. Almost didn't buy it, then dh said he would buy the umbrella for me, :o) So I got it... I want to do a walk thru garden bed out back where I hope to put all my Lily Plants among others, with stepping stones going throught it, and I still want to get a stone bench for it. Ken (dh) is going to make me a few arbors with planters on both sides, Lord knows I have enough vines now to go around lol. I still need to get some stones brought in, have to get a hold of my nephew, he works for the stone quarry in Monroe :o) Matter of fact think I will give him a call tonight...

I need to sit down and draw it all out, how I want it, just can't sit still long enough too lol. I do have it all stored away in my pea brain rofl... All I know in a couple of years, I should have some really pretty blooms... I want to get outside and get started sooo bad... I checked all my WSn seeds today and so far so good. one looked a little dry so I threw some snow down in it lol But we're suppose to get snow and rain tonight and tomorrow.

Well I got the rest of my Lily seeds sowed this afternoon. Now I need to go thru and get all my seeds together for my March WSing.... Then I will be done til the weather breaks and I can get started outside... Hope this March goes by as fast as Jan & Feb has :o)

Well gonna get my PJs on and get comfy and get ready to watch idol here shortly... Then may read for a while.

You all have a great evening.

Connie

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

I do keep a guard on it, but this camera is so old, I have the battery thing taped closed. Really need to get a new one :o) But as long as it holds up, well lol

It was so nice out side today... Enjoyed going out for a change :o) Well since the weather is going to be nasty tomorrow, I reckon it will be a good day to *yuck* clean house... Get rid of all the dust bunnies, Hey Belinda you want me to send them along with the Easter Swap roflmbo jk

I got some Easter Stickers so now I can get my seeds together for that swap...

I found a place that sells the Jade echinacea Bulbs 2 for 12.99 http://www.dutchbulbs.com/bulbs/perennials/echinacea/coneflower-jade/index.html

Don't know if I want them bad enough to pay that for them... But they sure are pretty. I was looking for some seeds of that, but someone told me they don't come true from seeds :( I may just wait and see if our local nursery gets them in...

TTY all Later

Connie, you'd better check out the garden watchdog rating for dutchbulbs (van bourgondien) before buying anything. They have one of the worst ratings of anyone.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Wow, notmartha is the one that recommended them, she orders from them all the time. But I don't plan on ordering anything right now. I am gonna wait and see what our local nursery gets in... Just a couple months isn't gonna kill me rofl... Hope not anyway :o)

Thanks for the info Hart...

Have a blessed night,

Connie

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Connie,

I was so sick when I mailed my envie out I forgot to send a note that my gift was a LOT heavier than I thought it would be. I bought one for myself, too, and it just seemed ideal -- until I got it on the scale, that is. The big stamp I sent needs to go with my heavy little gift.

Still not feeling up to par, but hopefully by Saturday. I have started reading threads and even typing a little bit, but my arms are soooo heavy!

Suzy

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh Suzy, you poor thing, I hate to hear that. Shooooo you mean ole nasty bug, leave Suzy alone...

Did that work? :o)

Well dang I tried!!!

I hope you get to feeling better really soon.

Connie

Dublin, TX(Zone 8a)

Hey Connie - - - about those dreadful dust bunnies...............PLEASE keep them! I have oodles and oodles of them that I can't seem to shake! LOLOLOLOL Darn it. I surely appreciate the kind offer! roflmbo
Did you by any chance receive my BE yet? I thought for sure it would be there by now? Maybe tomorrow! :)
I'm off to start supper for DH............and tend to my new flock! :)
Belinda

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Not yet Belinda, you just mailed it on the 27th, should be here tomorrow no later than Sat... Not sure if it takes 3 or 4 days coming from Texas...

Well I am getting off line for sure, *grinning*

Gonna go read for a while.

You all have a great great evening.

Connie

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

Glad you got my envie!! Glad you like the magnet..

Brenda

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Connie, my seeds went out today and are headed your way!

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Connie,
My seeds and little surprises for everyone were mailed yesterday by Priority Mail so you should have them by tomorrow.....I would think.

They will arrive in a box... my BE is inside. The little gifts for everyone were a bit heavier than I had expected so I included extra money that will hopefully cover everyones extra cost if there is any for shipping.
I don't really believe they will add that much extra weight when added to each individual package but were heavy when sending all 21....hope I'm making sence.

Just email me if you have any questions when you receive them.....it's still a bit too early for me to think clearly.

Jane

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Just wanted to let you all know, I will be leaving Sunday morning, my dad called and a really good friend of the family past away this morning around 10am in Indiana. I will be going with my dad. Were not sure when the funeral is right now, but dad thinks it will be Monday. If it is, we will be back on Tuesday, or Wednesday for sure. Please keep us all in your prayers.

If you are like me, you don't make it to all the forums, but a friend dmailed me about this offer

Bulbs: 4th annual Zephyranthes candida giveaway
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/697996/

The last I read drdon had 7 offers of these left...

Night ladies,
Have a blessed weekend.
Connie

Shenandoah Valley, VA

FYI, those rain lilies are only hardy in fairly warm areas - to zone 7, Connie. Well beyond your zone, unfortunately.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes Diane, so sad I have to dig them up and store them for the winter :( But they are sooo pretty...
But then again most of the ones I really truely love are for warmer zones, and dang it, can talk dh into moving either lol

I have several I have to dig up and store over the winter. Guess I am just a glutton for punishment :o)

Nite all Connie

Coaling, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks Connie for posting the info on that. I've been wanting rain lillies for ages. They grow at old farms around here, and I keep thinking one of these years I will just dig them up, but have never gotten around to it... So, I'll be delighted if I can have some of his...

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

Can you point me to some info on these? I searched for rain lillies and it doesn't bring anything up. :(

Susan
=^..^=

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Susan try this link http://www.gardenmob.com/blog1/2006/08/31/rain-lily-zephyranthes/#more-87

Thats what I found on it.

Connie

Shenandoah Valley, VA

You're a better woman than I am, Connie. LOL I hate digging up bulbs for the winter.

They're expensive as all get out and their shipping charges are absolutely ridiculous, but I saw Tony Avent from Plant Delights on a tv show and he was showing rain lilies he had found that were hardy and very drought tolerant. I guess I'll wait for those to make their way into more reasonably priced catalogs.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Jane, received your box today, oh soo sooo cute and Thank You, and yes I can use them :o)

Diana, got the Luffa seeds too, thanks so much...

Ladies I am going to be off line pretty much of the rest of the day, I have to get this house cleaned up today! Dad will be picking me up early in the morning so I will try to get back on b4 I go to bed tonight. I am not sure when I will get back, but it may be Monday evening late. Or for sure Tuesday sometime. Unless Donna needs us to stay a day or 2 longer. I talked with her last night and she is a mess, sooo please keep her and her girls in your prayers... If I don't get to get back on tonight, I will post as soon as I get home. Hopefully by the time I get back all the seeds will be here and I can get them back out to you all asap :o) Will do the best I can to...

Connie

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Connie, I missed the post about your friend. I'm so sorry. Our prayers are with their family and yours.

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Connie,
Finally, got the seed packets done and will be sending Priority Mail on Monday. Funny, I typed out this post earlier today, but I must not have hit send because I don't see it. I must really be losing my mind!

JoAnn

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Morning all,

I will be leaving here with in the hour. Dad changed his mind about what time he wanted to leave... So he will be here soon. I am shutting down the PC. was gonna take my laptop with me, but changed my mind, I really don't think I'd have time to use it anyway. All that have envie on the way, dh is keeping an eye out for them :o)

Hope you all have a great day, say a prayer for us, my dad drives like a maniac *seriously* scares me to death... Pray he takes his time...

Will let you all know when I am back,

Connie

Alexandria, VA(Zone 7a)

just checking to see if my postge envelope showed up yet. -katrun

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Connie is out of town for a funeral for a few days, Katrun.

Okay, I'm so sorry to be so slow but I finally got my ink refill, got the packets printed and can tell you what I have in extras. I was holding off because I'm using some of the seeds I got for my garden this year and wanted to make sure I wasn't getting into the other seeds. Wanted to send new things I hadn't sent in the other trades. BTW, half of what I'm sending for the regular swaps are flowers, half are vegetables or herbs. So, if you don't have a vegetable garden, might want to let Connie know.

Here's what I have to spare. Let me know ASAP if you want any of these.

Calendula - 1
Purple liatris - 1
Rudbeckia Goldsturm - 2
Vitex - 1
Beautyberry (Callicarpa) - 2

I'm moving this post to the new extras thread.
