I agree Mark, nice picture Harper! Mine is on my home page, it's about 5 years old so I don't look like that anymore. My hair is down to my shoulders now....first time it's been this long in over 20 years.
February's Coffee
Harper - you're beautiful! You're also far too young!
Yes I saw your photo Pixie........................... Lovely!!! Keep growing your hair..........
Arlene...................... yes isn't she beautiful!!!!! ......................
Oh Pixie! You are so beautiful.
Now I really feel decrepit. I'd go eat worms but they're frozen.
Good morning everybody. Well, it's morning here in Utah. I've been reading and looking at pics for twenty minutes now. Let's see if I can cover it. I too, am waaay to set in my ways to entertain the idea of adding a man to the equation. Not but what I didn't enjoy them while I was younger. I surely did. In fact, I still enjoy them just don't want one underfoot. I'm too selfish anymore to let some one else's comfort level determine mine. LOL
Gram is such a cheerful looking person I wish she lived just down the street. I too, would hug Mark on a regular basis. I'm a big believer in hugs and have a lot of friends both male and female that get and give hugs when they are needed. Pixie is indeed young and good looking and Al is digging a hole amongst some rather large rocks, [were you figuring on burying them?] And Harper is younger and better looking than all of us - LOL
Well, I tried to catch up - sorry if I left anybody out. Here's me in the middle of spring wildflowers in the Anza Borrego park in California. ~Blooms
Blooms, that is a stunning photo! Don't take this the wrong way, but I just want to reach out and touch your hair! LOL My DG hair was the same color and I used to brush it for her. It is one of the most promient things I remember about her, that and the color blue of her eyes. Her hair was as soft as a baby's and seeing yours has brought back fond memories, Thank you!
Pixie, it's a lot longer than it looks there, I've got it pinned back. But come on over, love to have you brush it for me.
My picture is in the DG album. I will warn you - it is one of those "glamour shots". My sisters and I had a portrait done for out Dad's 80th birthday this summer and then we each got a portrait for ourselves.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww Blooms, you are lovely!!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Oh Mark................... i love your photo!!

Arlene.......................... I took that photo of Rio..............!!
I know Mark. That's exactly what Hazel posted.
Arlene........................... oh yeah!! LOL
Blooms, what a beautiful photo of you and the park. That's such a great shot. I know what pixie means about your hair too... so healthy looking.
Pixie, you look like a close friend of mine. You're just as sweet too.
Yankee, you look wonderful!
Hazel, your dog Rio is so beautiful. Nice pic Mark!
It's nice to 'see' everyone. And I'm not THAT young! sheesh... I'm always lumped into the kiddie section... grumble, grumble...
So, it was Dave who discovered that catsup and ketchup are the same!! Thank you Dave! I was lost before!!
Harper
pirl, thats a lovely photo, you 2 looks so happy and make a wonderful couple!
Hey Pirl - you are blonde, I just thought you said that for an excuse ;)
Hi pirl!!!! You and Jack look wonderful together!!
Thanks, Pixie. It was the 25th anniversary from the day we met.
Al - I am a natural blonde but I fear I'm starting to go gray. DH thinks it's about time but I'll wait it out and if summer doesn't get me as blonde as last year I guess I'll resort to being a liquid blonde.
Thanks, Harper. Not bad for an old broad, I guess.

I use to be gray years ago - it's not that bad.
Gray is good for Artemesia but not for me: just one of those things.
Artemesia! Another great old female painter. Artemesia Gentileschi -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artemisia_Gentileschi
I like your hair the way it is pirl. You too Al.
I bet that's why it was on my mind, Harper. I read that whole article you linked to and loved learning about the women.
I cut my own hair - maybe Al does, too?
You think Al might've cut your hair, but you're not sure??? lol
Yeah, Artemesia and Sofonisba were my major inspiration through college. I named all my plants after them... who knew I was so interested in plants. I wish they offered botanical illustration at school. I would've found my niche.
What a friendly, nice looking bunch of folks!
Harper (I also like your name) Thank you. That ketchup - catsup thing took me years to crack. But who say "cats-up"??
thanks for the hugs Mark
It's harder to hide the gray when you start with almost black hair.
You are welcome blooms...................
Yes i know its hard to hide the grey when you have black hair.............. i have the same problem!!!
But hey, it suits you being grey.................. you are still a lovely lookin woman!!
boy, you guys have been busy! Dave, I'm glad to see that wasn't a hole for that Al was diggin'. Everyones' pics are wonderful. I have to comment on the blooms in Blooms and Pixie's shots!
Mark and Hazel - where is Caistor?
Hello everyone
anita, Caistor is in LiNCOLNSHIRE-ENGLAND on the East Coast, just below .the River Humber.
Sorry Anita, Forgot to put my name on reply.
Lincs is very flat land mostly, but Caistor is in The Wolds area, very hilly and marked as an area of natural beauty. I live on a farm just up the road from Mark
and my pleasures are my dog and my garden, done from scratch, many plants bought from Mark, weve been friends for about 20yrs.
Hazel
Hazel - you made a dog from scratch - cool!
Blooms - I took the rocks out, from an old barn foundation. Want some - available for postage.
Lols sure did.
My passion are clematis, roses and cottage plants, but they need to be hardy as I live very high up on the hills, and its open, just surrounded by fields, so the wind can be a pain, and the climbers help a lot.
Its been very frosty last night here, and Iong to be able to get out in the garden or my small greenhouse. Roll on the Spring
Hazel
Hazel - our town of Southold was named for Southwold U.K. by the early settlers. The Indians/Native Americans named it Yennicott - where the land and water meet. This is from the web page:
"Southold is believed to be a phonetic spelling of Southwold, a coastal town in Suffolk, England. The town was founded in 1640 and is the oldest English-speaking town in New York State."
What is your favorite Clematis so far?
Hi Pirl
Thanks for replying, I have a beautiful very large flower, called King Arthur (I think thats the name) everyone coments on it, its covering my shed.
Ive had it now 6yrs and moved it about 3 times, with my fingers crossed I can tell you. I can not get any cuttings of it, no matter how hard I try, or the neighbour next door either, she is desperate for a cutting each year its out. Ill take a photo this year of it now Ive found your site. It flowers about 2 or 3 times a year. I realy love it, its a deep purple. What is your favourite plant?
Hazel
Pirl
very interesting about Southwold, The wolds are a lange range of hills running down Lincs, Im sitting on the highest point.
But Ill look up Southwold on my map later, also try to find the definition of Wold
for you, possibly saxon or Roman.
Is your area hilly too?
Hazel
