Dallas, TX

LINDA I swear! you and your disapearing acts. LOL I Have Juanita's Shower at eleven oclock saturday, the 5th ... that should not last very long because the boss's mother is giving it. I still have my caretakers here ... maybe you can help me get them out! LOL
MARYLEE any Hosta will do well with ninty days of low temps. I dont have either of those Hostas ... Aphrodite is on my want list. Which Hosta did I give you last year?
DAVE could I please have some of that Mother of Thousands?
PAT which Hosta did I give you last year? I dont want to duplicate.
I would like Indigo Spires, Obediant plant and Mealy Cup sage if you have any.
Also I will have a lot of Sedum ... all kinds. I dont have anyplace to put stuff anymore.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, I can't remember which one you gave me, but I have Invinceable, Royal Standard, Golden Tiara, and green and white unnamed and a solid green unnamed. I found a place last night that has Aphrodite, I think. It's not expensive.

City_Sylvia, I've got you down for a mother of thousands!

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, I have you down for 'Indigo Spires,' obedient plant, mealy cup sage, and the liatris I was already bringing you. I'd love to have some of your sedums too. I have a huge front island bed that needs more drought tolerant plants.

Sylvia, you gave me 'Striptease' last fall, and it is gorgeous. Any hosta you choose for me will be great. (I have not had a chance to update my list and remove the ones I lost last summer.)

Waco, TX(Zone 8b)

Sylvia, can I get some of your sedums?

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll be bringing some sedum also if anybody wants some.

Clayton, one of my cactus orchids has never bloomed and I was wondering if you might know how to make it bloom? I think it maybe the species form. It gets exactly the treatment the other one gets, which is pretty much benign neglect.

Dallas, TX

of course Clayton... I have tons Stonecrop. I igot some of that new "Blackjack" series too. I got two big bowls of sedums that wander .. grat for Rock gardens. will see if I still have the names so I can list.

Waco, TX(Zone 8b)

Mary Lee, I just started getting into the orchid cactus. Therefor I am still learning about these plants. I am sure someone on the orchid cactus forum may know what to do. I just got my first cutting around in October. I haven't had any of them to bloom yet.

Sylvia, that would be great. I have a rocky hill in my back yard that I am trying to find something to cover it up with. It is just a lot of limestone with a thin layer of soil.

Frisco, TX(Zone 8a)

Due to another committment I will probably not be able to make it until after 1pm or so.How long will everyone be there? nancy

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I bet we will still be there at 1pm. last spring I think we were there until 3 or 4.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

Come on out, Teacup! Some of us stay til time for the cows to come home! Like, how long can you talk plants? Forever!!!!!! :~)

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

Smockette, Could I get some Zephyranthes grandiflora and polygonum?

Dallas, TX

Thanks Dave... I cant wait to see that ... it look like something I have seen in Florida.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Mary Lee and Trishann.....unfortunately I only have one gaura 'Cherry Brandy' and even that is not in the greatest shape although it does have some new growth on it. The other division I took just rotted. And my plant is just now starting to bounce back after dividing it a month ago, so I don't really want to try dividing it again this spring. Would one of you be willing to wait until fall for this?

Thanks, Kim

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Not a problem, Kim. The one I have came back just fine and I think I'll be swamped with stuff to plant anyway.:) The lilies I order from the coop just came today. I'm just a little excited.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Sounds great...thanks! I'm excited too....I've got spots picked out for the stuff I'm getting!

:) Kim

For those who want Brazilian Plume, Spicy Jatropha, or Russian Sage, you need to know I just started them. The Braz. Plume and Spicy Jatropha look pretty good, but they are not growing yet. The Russian Sage looks very tired still. Hope it looks better on the 28th.

Dallas, TX

Please ... can anyone tell me what this is? ... and the little tree too.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

The tree looks like a pecan to me.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, the plants in the pots are Purple Fall Aster, Symphyotrycum oblongifolius.
The tree I am not sure.
Josephine.

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

I have an iris that needs dividing. If someone can tell me how to do that i'd be happy to bring some to the round up. It's a very dark purple and stays green year round with very little to no attention at all and blooms twice a year.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Aunt Anne, I'd like some of that iris please. I don't have any that bloom twice a year. Atleast they haven't yet. They are very easy. Just dig down under them and lift them out. When I do this I cut off all but about 4 iches of root and 4 inches of leaves, and cut off all the dead leaves and roots. And since the RU is only a week away you probably don't need to pot them. I took mine in a sack with some dirt to the last RU. Or maybe it was a cardboard box. Happy digging.:)

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Please check my Haves list above to be sure I havent' missed anybody.

BTW my brougmansia is coming out now, so if anybody wants cuttings of that let me know. It has solid green leaves and hot pink flowers.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I would love a cutting and if I am not too picky I would prefer not to get a green stem. They all die for me. Brown thumb I guess.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll see if I have any with brown stems. Probably not because it's just starting to grow and is very green. Seems like having a green stem would be an advantage. We'll see.:)

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I have some volunteer shrimp plants coming up in my side yard that apparently migrated over from my neighbor's side. Would anyone like them?

IF I get my ferns from the fern coop this week, I will have some extras, but it doesn't look like they will be here in time. Too bad...

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello Bob Throneofyord, remember the Iris you gave me last year?
Well it bloomed this Spring, and it is beautiful, thank you very much.
However i don't have a name for it, and i was hoping you could tell me, I really like it, and I am hoping to put it in the plant files, could you please identify it for me?
Josephine.

Marylyn_TX, put me down for a shrimp plant. Mine didn't make it this last freeze.

Thanks

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

Marilyn may i have 1 or 2 of the shrimp plants?

Anne

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, Marilyn. I hope your ferns make it. Did you order any extra cinnamon fern? I didn't discover that coop til it was too late. Do you ever see those in the nurseries down there?

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Marylyn, I'd love a shrimp plant too if you have enough.
Thanks, Patricia

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I'll put your name on the shrimp plant list, Patricia. :-)

Mary Lee, I haven't seen any cinnamon fern down here, but I haven't really looked either. I did order some from the coop, along with some rosy maidenhair and some Japanese painted. If they come this week I'll get them planted and then I'll let you know what I have extra.
