You are welcome and no problem!
They didn't make it very obvious that they made those changes and they expect that if you have done it before that you will know that there are additional steps. Not very smart on their part because it makes it confusing for return users!
Craigslist
Wanted to post this important info. I have had an ad replied to by a "scammer" from a gmail account. I did not sell to them per their request which seemed like a scam. Apparently it's a widespread problem as someone else posted an ad about this type of scam. I'm sure Davers are to smart to fall for this though. :)

My first experience with craigslist was a really good one. I answered an ad from a woman selling daturas for $5.00. A couple of weeks ago, DH and I went to her house on Sat. to get one or two. The seller and I spoke on the phone, and I asked her if she'd like me to bring her some cuttings. She said that would be nice, so off we went with about three different plants. We spent about half an hour in her garden and left with a large datura which my husband dug up (she also had smaller ones in pots), as well as several cuttings of other plants. She didn't charge me for the datura after all. One day soon, she and her daughters are going to visit my garden. I made a new friend!
awesome bivbiv! i usually have a good time shopping there myself.
Today I saw something really funny on CL. Someone was offering a "Vacuum...Vacume...Vaccum" for sale. Obviously, they weren't sure of the spelling! No wonder they're getting rid of their vacuum cleaner; if they're too lazy to look up a word, they're probably too lazy to vacuum!
Today someone gave away a 1991 Acura with 110,000 miles...in good running condition. I'm sure the recipient was happy to get that.
Another goodie I got recently was 80 terra cotta pavers for my garden...free.
I've had very good luck buying on eBay over the years. I've acquired some wonderfully exotic accessories for my home, as well as a beautiful handmade wool rug at a fraction of what it would have cost retail. Actually, it was less than wholesale, and this I know for a fact...having bought and sold such rugs.
Actually, sometimes people intentionally misspell commonly misspelled words or brand names in order to get into the search results of people who can't spell. You see this on Ebay all of the time. Particularly when I was giving things away free, I found that many of the respondents were immigrants with limited English.
From the opposite point of view, before Ebay introduced a "Did you mean?" type of feature, collectors would intentionally search misspelled brand names as a buying strategy, on the theory that they could find a listing that other bidders wouldn't see.

LOL After I posted that, it dawned on me that it could have been intentional. I'm such a stickler for correct spelling that I could never do that. I wouldn't want people to think I was a bad speller. :)
I don't know if it still exists, but there used to be a website called (I think) fatfingers; it was devised to find listings in eBay that were misspelled.
The other day I saw an eBay listing from an Italian lady whose English was charmingly fractured. She promised that she'd do everything possible to "accomplice" potential bidders. From the context, I interpreted it to mean "accommodate."
I actually misspelled something in an ad once and was berated in an email that I shouldn't have even posted yada yada yada and what a terrible person I must be, etc. I found it so funny actually! I know there are those who critique everything on Craig's but in my defense, why would I look up a word if I didn't know I was misspelling it? I have bigger pet peeves than spelling. Interesting observations on the whole misspelled ads for searching reasons! I'd never of thought of that.
Stickler for spelling though I might be, I'd NEVER berate anyone for misspelling...unless it was myself! That was just downright rude. Shame on that person! I think sometimes the anonymity of the internet encourages the worst in people.
That's a great last line bivbiv! I'd actually wondered about that myself....Dave's is where I find the nicest bunch but sometimes I have wondered about the internet in general if this is just how people really are or if it's the anonymity of it. On the emailer's behalf, I am glad they just emailed me rather than flag my listing. Yeah, that was flagged a couple days later. I was just asking about a breed of dog. Good grief.
Did you ever read some of the forums on CL? They get down and dirty. Nothing seems to be off limits. I checked a forum once, just out of curiosity, and discovered it was populated by immature and surly types who seem to find it great fun to swear. I'm guessing they're mostly teenagers. I really think parents should monitor their children better.
I love Craig's List! My first transaction on there was a bartering arrangement stemming from a barter ad I placed there. I posted and said I would like to barter in exchange for having a low sandstone wall rebuilt. A landscaper in a neighboring town responded and I worked it out with her . In exchange for her work, I took outside portraits of her family when the had a gathering at her home. She is a super-nice person, too, someone I was pleased to meet.
That dog house listing cracked me up! I saw a personal ad there a couple years back which incensed me enough I posted it in my blog: http://www.gardenwife.com/mt/archives/2005/08/friendly_is_as.php
Just saw this and it gave me a chuckle...
In need of reusable Mens clothes ...
As opposed to disposable men's clothes, maybe? ;) I know s/he means, but it sounds so funny!

oh no bivbiv i stear clear of their forums! I hate vularity/cursing no matter when or where. I bet you are right...unsupervised teens!
Please explain, many ads offering free busted up chunks of concrete. What would/could someone do with this? I'd change my sidewalk if I knew someone would haul it away!
People use it to make garden paths. I've used broken pieces under the rocks in a small rock garden.
smart! so the nice rocks don't sink?
There are no rocks in FL, so we have to buy them, and they're not cheap. By using broken (free) concrete under the rocks, I'm able to make a higher rock garden for less money.
That is brilliant bivbiv!
A friend of mine at work use our old concrete for a french drain in his back yard.
We've used broken up concrete as stepping stones. Also, I have a few chunks used as fill beneath a mound of soil behind our pond. I didn't go anywhere and haul it, though!
I notice the same postings on Craig's List as our local Freecycle list. I recognized the person's offer for a free brush pile. LOL Yep, they have a big pile of twigs in their yard and don't want to deal with it. Maybe someone will want tinder. I tried offering free firewood a few years ago for anyone who'd cut down a small tree...No takers. Hah!
When we were in our youth we would cut down 'small' trees in a heart beat for the wood.
Those fires are too much trouble for most these days, including me,.

Yep, most homes use gas fireplaces (if you are talking inside) but almost all the homes I've been in with a FP they never light one up. To bad!
We have a woodburning fireplace in our house which was built in 1948, and I look forward to cold days so we can use it. Even when we lived in Miami, we had a fireplace (you do get some chilly weather there). In fact, a fireplace was a prerequisite when househunting there and here.
One Christmas my MIL was really looking forward to Christmas dinner here so she could enjoy our fireplace. But that morning we awoke to a warm and balmy day in the low 80's. So we turned the a/c on and set the thermostat as low as it would go. And my MIL got to enjoy sitting before the fire.
stroller for your cat. hehe...
http://houston.craigslist.org/pet/406904443.html
tir...they have removed that? wonder why
Not removed, checked the link. It looks just like a baby stroller!!!!
Tir, you're probably viewing a cached copy of it in your browser. It shows up as flagged for removal for me, too.
weird! oh you are so smart!
wonder why it was removed?
I saw it and it was a small like doll stroller with a mesh front with a hole in it big enough for a cat's head to stick out of.
I bet if you Googled Cat stroller you would find the same thing.
;)
how funny:)
sticks,
I find people are ALWAYS flagging ads....at least in the big cities I've lived and used it. But it was a funny product!
Maybe it was sold. The person who placed the ad will then often delete it.
I think it was a company, they had many styles.

Andi- did you get flagged? :)
Good thing I had a chance to read that before it was "flagged" hehe.
Yep, self-flagged after I had doubts about the auction.
oh wondering if it were true?
