Staghorn... Elkhorn... they're both Platycerium. Common names, they'll get ya every time.
Visitors to My Garden.....(continued)
Staghorn = Platycerium bifurcatum
Elkhorn = Platycerium bifurcatum
In the US, at least around me, they seem to refer to Platycerium bifurcatum as either a Staghorn or an Elkhorn Fern.

By the way, I enlarged your photo! Yowser! Didn't see that in there until you told us to enlarge the photo.
Looks to me as if you have an Asplenium australasicum (We call that a Bird's Nest Fern over here), Platycerium bifurcatum or maybe P. wallichii, and a P. sumbawense or maybe a P. ridleyi? How close am I? Did I at least get the genus correct to what you have?
Eqi.
I knew no one had opened it .
They would have commented on JACK BLAKE

Ginger, your last pic is even smaller than what phicks posts.
Quote from Ginger's link:
"This fern is an excellent pot plant, tolerant of some dryness though it resents heavy shade."
Our "pot plants" don't like shade either! :-)
Pep ,
I left it small for a reason ?
Yeah, cause you are trying make us all blind:)
No , Another reason .
Read back through the last 10 threads ?
Fat.
That too .

I think so. It helps to have worked on computers and networks for the past 23 years and running my own website for a few years. The quote feature on this board doesn't support the origin of the quote, which is why I won't always use it. Instead of just saying "Quoted" I like boards that indicate the user name that is being quoted. It is much easier to follow and you don't have to dig through all of the text in previous posts to find out who is being quoted.
OK
AND you are very good with PhotoShop or know someone who is!!! :-) Cute!
Stelco
With all those Mushies for inspiration .
This is what they really look like at times .
I confess , I do the PS thing .
I know that photo and don't you go and dupe Stelco with that one!!
OK Pep .
They do visit this time each year .
They are Canna seed Pods . lol
I didn't even know about the hybrid. Since I lost all of my common Canna rhizomes about a year ago I may replace them with these.
The leaves are sure a LOT better looking than the green ones that I used to have, but it looks like they only grow to about half the size of the plants that I had. A full spring to fall bloom is another bonus. I'll still have to dig them up after our first couple of frosts and bring them inside for our winters.
A Thought for the day:
I`d rather have a bottle in front of me .
Than a frontal lobotomi ?
LOL. Stelco, the cannas should get taller. they are young yet.
I think they are big for 5 weeks .
Ewe asked for it .
