A tree knee?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Neck of an ostrich? Or ginger's neck?

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Pep is being naughty again.
Must be wednesday .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Ok then. Your knee.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

But aren`t there 2 bends ?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Yeah, you have warped knees. LOL

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Warped sense of humour more like it .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL. So what is it really?

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

It`s a 3 inch Gum Tree that got struck by lightning .
It fell over and started to grow again .
First bend = Lightning .
Second bend = re-growth .
1st one I`ve ever seen .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I figured it had to be a tree since it was in the woods like that but wasn't real sure. And I definitely didn't know what kind it was.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Here is another angle / close up .

I have not seen you in quite a while. I was hopeful that you were on your way to Arkansas, so you could join our RU ;o) I wish that you could/would come here.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

At the moment I`m organising a 7 day trip to Ayers Rock .
Until I see and Climb That , I`m pretty well stuck in Aus .
Thanks for asking . Kell

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

This little fella thought he would join us for dinner last night .
He was about 8 inches long . Straight on to Kitchen table .

Thumbnail by ginger749

You eat them down under? I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that but how do they taste? How do you cook them?

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

No Eqi. We didn`t Eat her .
She flew into the house and landed on the Kitchen table while we were eating .
Funny thing is we were having Chicken Kebabs at the time .
Might be she thought one of the kebab sticks looked familiar ?

Well, I had chocolate covered grasshoppers one time when I was in Mexico and they sort of tasted like one of those Nestle Crunch bars. I figured maybe you all ate them or something otherwise why would it be on your kitchen table. I like those bugs. The kids had some once. Neat insect pet even though they don't live all that long.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

They have amazing Head movement .
Almost like an inquisitive Dog .

Your are welcome to visit our state at any time. You have an open invitation. Next year the Master Gardeners are planning a trip to Aussie and/or New Zealand. I am already saving my money!

Kim

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Who are The Master Gardeners ?
And how many of them will there Be ?
Maybe I could take them on a Mountain Climb . lol

North Little Rock, AR(Zone 7b)

In our small county, we have over 350 active Master Gardeners. This trip is for the entire state, so I really don't have any idea how many may make the trip. We have a special trip each year, this year it is Costa Rica.

If the mountain climb is more like a hill climb or if "mountain climb" is some type of beverage, you may have some takers. LOL

There is one destination I know you all would like .

How cool! Hmmmm...can I bring one home in a suitcase? ;o) Or heck, I will buy the bird a plane ticket and it can fly in the seat next to me. LOL

In the first photo...see that small hill to the right in the picture? Well, that is about as tall of a mountain as we will climb. ;o)) But, would love to visit any and all parks/nature centers and gardens

I so want to visit your lovely country. Hubby and I were supposed to move there after college...but...never did. While in school, Electrical Engineers were needed but after school, all jobs filled. So, we stayed here. I did lots of research, looked at different areas/cities/towns in which to live and the hospitals that needed RNs...so on and so on...but...to no avail. So, to visit would be almost as good!

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Kim , if you take a bird back in the plane ?
It should be free if you keep the bird flying .
He won`t weigh anything and won`t take up any seat space ?
Stands to reason , it should be free . Kell

North Little Rock, AR(Zone 7b)

I like your way of thinking, Kell. LOL

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)
