Do you have a favorite quote or saying?

This Spring, MY garden is going to have a new sign...free weeds, pick your own. I really like that.

It's the tiny weeds - like the tiny leaved clover (with such deep roots) that I can't stand. I don't know the name of the ones that get to 3' tall and flower before I spot them but they almost make me laugh that there I am getting out the tiny ones and totally miss the ones most likely to hit me in the head.

that's funny Pirl, I can relate. Every year I seem to let some oxalis get huge without seeing it. Those weeds are sneaky.

I don't have to tell you what I found more of today, Al. Very depressing! Those darn things will be multiplying under the snow, I just know they will. They have no morals.

Have you looked up any info on managing it? It must reseed right? Can you use a pre-m on it?

Managing it? Good grief - it's managing just fine!

I wonder, after I get them out, if Preen would even work since these things grow from the tiniest little tubers I ever have seen.

My weed fire eater should be here in 10 to 15 days but even that won't get the tiny growing babies under ground. I'm sure this is just the start of them for the daylily garden and many more will crop up come April. The woes of a gardener!

No Preen or other preemergents will not work on tubers - just seeds.

Thanks for the sympathy- I was trying to recover from visiting my 'Perfect" friend and her beautiful house. Of course I know her life hasn't always been Perfect, I'm not holding it against her : ) I buried some good problems digging in the dirt yesterday (64 degrees F)
