JUST HARVESTED! Rhaphiolepis indica 'Ballerina' Indian Hawthorn. It's a slow growig shrub that blooms twice a year for me. The flowers are pink and looks very much like the 'Ballerina', but I'm not positive. I have about (4) packs, 6 seeds per envie. LMK.
I also have some castor bean seeds. Not sure if I put them on the list above.

Did Mark give you a latin name for those mimosa? Because the hardy mimosa tree has pink flowers. I think the other ones are only tropical.
I'll try some if it is okay for my zone.
Connie
nope hart he sure didn't sorry
Well I do believe we are winding down on the extras :o) whew lol I sure hope you all had and are having fun with this swap....
I know I am... Tho life keeps trying to get in the way :(
Today I received a very very sad phone call. A dear friend and preacher, and his wife lost their youngest daughter at the age of 36... She had surgery on Monday somewhere in Detroit area, and died last night, they think caused by a blood clot to the brain...
I ask you all to remember the Bussell family in your prayers... She also left behind a 16 year old daughter and husband...
This young woman was a great singer for the Lord. The world is going to miss some beautiful singing... Tho I am sure she is in Heaven's Choir now... She will deffinately be sadly missed by alot of people...
DH and I will be gone for most of this evening and tomorrow evening as well. I will check back in when I get home.
Connie
Guess it doesn't matter on that mimosa. Looks like you can grow the other kind as an annual.
http://www.bio.miami.edu/mimosa/mimosa.html
But don't expect it to become a tree if you live in a cold zone.
I have the following bags marked for those that want Geiger Tree seeds:
cedarnest (#4)
DonnaB (#15)
cegoins (#1)
mamajack (#10)
moretz (#3)
frausnow (#5)
Let me know if I missed anyone. I am planning on mailing out my seed package to Connie in the morning (Saturday), so if anyone else wants some Gieger seeds, let me know ASAP.
Sorry to hear about your friends' daughter, Connie. I'll keep that family in my thoughts.
I sent out my bulging package to you yesterday. Should be there soon.
-Tracy
Connie,
I would love your Mimosa Pod if you have any left and also I would like any type of Sunflowers... Thanks everybody..
Susan
oh how tragic and especially this time of the year
I've got mamajack down for Nasturtium Moonlight, Larkspur The Pinks and CA poppy.
Pamsue (#9)-you're down for Cosmos Versailles Tetra, Pansy-Ultima Morpho and I guess both tomatoes Sungella and Golden Jubilee
Joy (#22) I have you down for Brachy., Brug, Pink Gyps. Cleome white, Cosmos ver. Tet., Datura Golden, and Antirrhinum Royal Bride.
I think that's almost everything. I'll toss in the rest and Connie can put it towards a package for Susan or more extras for the rest of us.
Connie sorry to hear about your sad news. Will definitely keep the family in my prayers.
Connie - I will certainly keep the Bussell family in my prayers. That's going to be very tough on her 16 year old daughter. Girls need their mom most in their teens which is such a transitional age between girlhood and womanhood. How very sad this happened. My sympathy goes out to the family. I pray the Lord will provide a source of comfort for this family though their relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Connie, So sorry to hear of this sad news.
I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.
Life keeps getting in my way too. I'm hoping things will wind down enough for me to get these seeds together and off in the mail on Monday. That's the goal.
Susan, I have a few extra sunflowers I can send for you. I know I have more than I could possibly plant. I think there are a few different varieties.
Joy #22
Pamsue,
Got you down for the Indian Hawthorn.
Connie,
Will definitely keep The Bussell's in my prayers for comfort. So sad. May God wrap His big arms around them.
JoAnn
Connie,Such Sad News. My heart and Prayers go out to the Family. How devastating! : (
Nancy
Well DH and I just got home, thought I'd pop on real quick b4 I put my pj's on and curl up on the couch and watch TV with me hubby... We went to a Christmas Play tonight and it was beautiful, Never seen it done this way b4. They had a set for modern day ppl on the left of the stage and a bibical set up on the right. A couple where the guy is going to college and his wife finds out shes pregnant and doesn't know how to tell him, when she told him he left and didn't come home for 2 days vs Mary & the Joseph story. It was really good and they used a real baby (2 months old) playing Jesus, he was so good and played his part really well, didn't whimper once. lol
Well I am off for tonight, I will be on tomorrow. May check in b4 I hit the sac, if not,
you all have a good night/day
Connie
Thanks you all for the kind words and your prayers, I know they are taking it really hard. Not sure when the services are set for. Haven't heard anymore. But I am sure I will know more sometime tomorrow.
Well tty all later.
Connie
Well so much for me watching TV with my hubby, we watched Numbers and he then put a tape in, and I almost fell a sleep so went to bed... I think I was gone by the time my head hit the pillow :o) Don't know when Ken came to bed and when I woke up he was already up with the coffee made :o)
I usually beat him up every morning but Sunday's... I must have been exhausted.. I usually slep 5/6 hours and I am good to go, I slept almost 10 hours lol...
Hope you all had a good night...
Hart On the mimosa seed after it grows, and in the fall can't I bring it in for the winter?
Also, I got some magnolia seeds and was told to take sand and peat mix and put the seeds in it and place in the fridge for 4 to 5 months, she said all tree seeds need to be done this way along with any big seeds. Is this correct, for I have several different types.
Okay on castor(sp?) bean seed, the cold kills them here the plants can't handle our cold weather and die (so its an annual here) but I wouldn't put them in the fridge would I? this is confusing to me lol
I know there are some of the tree seeds I have that are for my zone, but I thought I could bring the ones that weren't, in for the winter months... (except the castor bean, I know those won't servive, even indoors here.) Got those seeds from our local green house, and the guy just gave me all the pods that were on the plants there...
