Seed Swap #2

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Connie,
Thanks so much for your kind words. I have never had a flu bug affect me as bad as this one has. I just can't seem to get over it. Our weather has also been up and down. We have the heat on at night and the air conditioning going during the mid part of the day.

I also am blessed with having FMS & CFS... so when I get even the slightest little cold, it's like getting hit by a mack truck.

I hope the gentleman in your church will soon recover. I will include him in my prayers. I myself am 49 and can only imagine how bad I would feel having this flu bug if I was any older.

Anyway...Thanks so much for your kind words. Hope you will feel better soon as well. So sorry everyone about the seeds...I have them all ready to be mailed but wondered too if I mailed them, if I would be sending everyone this flu bug. Don't know if that's possible but my mother was always a great believer in this.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Jane,

Sorry that you were feeling ill. I had the flu a while back and it knocked me for a loop as well. Knocking wood that it won't bother me this year! I will try to do a swap again in the very early spring if there is interest and you are more than welcomed to join that one!

Feel better!
Anita

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Jane,
I have FMS as well, so I know what you've been through. Just came through a 4 week "flare-up"...no reason, it just hit me. My body felt like one great big ache from head to toe. Oh, what I'd give for just one pain-free day!

On anther note, I just ordered and received a bunch of seeds from ebay. Can't wait til January!

JoAnn

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

ok, my blonde is showing, what is FMS stand for?

Connie

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

FMS stands for Fibromyalgia, CFS is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. People with arthritis can appreciate what the pain feels like. Some doctors think FMS and CFS are one and the same, whereas others think while the share similar symptoms, they still are different. Sorry this is off-topic.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I was just being nebby, LOL, seeing what was going on with this swap.... thought I'd mention that Amy (RainGazer) has been pretty sick lately, as she & the kids all picked up one of the nasty bugs making the rounds. I got a short Dmail from her a few days ago and haven't heard anything more, but I figured I'd let you know in case she hasn't been able to get in touch.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks critter,
There's alot of it going around. Hope you and yours are doing okay.

Connie

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Jill - I think this is the time of year for the bug to be travelling around. I was having this discussion with my friends the other day..knowing how germs can spread most people try to be careful, but it totally amazed us how many people will not wash their hands after using a public bathroom! I try to be careful where I put my hands, especially this time of the year, as people sneeze and cough into their hands and then put/touch everything without even realizing it. My 9yo niece has the right idea, as soon as we get home from anywhere she tells all of us to go and wash our hands.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Hi everyone - I'm still waiting on Fran's package. Her dmail above says that she mailed it out on Monday, so I'm guessing it should be by me by today or tomorrow. Thanks for being so patient.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

No Problem Anita, its not like we can start planting them out right now anyways :-)

Oh I am getting so excited, besides this swap I am in 3 others....

dh said our post office will be closed tomorrow because of veterans day...

Connie

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Now I wish I had of sent my seeds in as well...I know you would of received them in just a couple of days.
I had no idea you would still be waiting on seeds now...almost a week later.
Just didn't want to keep everyone waiting.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Fran, I still haven't received your packet of seeds. Did you put it in the mail last Monday? Please let me know if you haven't so that I can get the rest of the packets finished and mailed.

Thanks
Anita

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

This is going to sound really weird, but I think Fran sent her seeds to the wrong person and to the wrong swap. On the Winter sowing seed swap #1 -- Alicewhos -- Alice is asking who Mary from Orlando is and why she sent seeds with no postage and no name or return label and isn't on the swap participants list.

I know the names Fran and Mary don't sound alike, but lots of people have Mary as a legal first name -- I think her name is Mary Frances, goes by Fran, is from Orlando, and sent the seeds to the wrong swap. :(

I'll post this on Alicewho's swap, too., but my guess is to go ahead Anita and don't wait for Fran's seeds....there isn't postage to get them to you.

Suzy

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Suzy - Alice dmailed me. I told her to open the packet and that the return postage should be in there. I am sorry everyone that you had to wait. I am working late today, so I'll get these out tomorrow to all of you.

Chevy Chase, MD(Zone 7a)

Not a problem at all for me at least -- I'm not doing anything with the seeds until January. . . . I bet that is true for most of us.

Northern Michigan, MI(Zone 5a)

No problem with me as I can't "wintersow" for quite a while yet....lol

Ok - I've just finished up and sealed the last envelope. They are all going out tomorrow. I hope you like the seeds you got in return! Perhaps we can do this again in Feb/March after we have started our wintersowing and have a better handle on what we might want some more of.

Thanks again for participating!
