I apologize if someone already posted this link, but I just found this additional thread in Perennials about what makes a cottage garden 'cottag-y'
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/667391/
I really hate that we're all over the place with this, but we are having a lot of fun anyway, once you get all the threads bookmarked

I don't see a Cottage garden forum here - am I missing it?
Your wait is over - here you go! http://davesgarden.com/forums/f/cottage/all/

Thank you!!!!
YIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Wonderful - many, many thanks . . . this will be an active, fun forum for sure!!!!!
Yay!!!!!
Good decision, Dave & Terry, and many thanks!
Thank you!
Thanks so very much!
This makes me particularly happy because much discussion is nicely catagorized. Since cottage gardening involves bulbs, perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs, roses, hydrangeas, peonies, iris, herbs, and garden design, all those things that have their own forum can still be discussed under the same umbrella.
Much appreciated :)
I'm sure everyone in Bloomswithaview's Dead Lawn Society is delighted with this new form, too! Thank, all for getting this forum going.
Me too!! I love a cottage garden .. I vote YES
The cottage gardening forum was created a while ago--here's the link for you http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/cottage/all/
LOL, I thought, what?? I know I've seen that forum already and then I saw the date! These old threads popping up out of the blue always throw me...and others too it seems, especially when the last few posts aren't read.
