Congratulations, Maria. He's wonderful. Enjoy him.

OK folks, what is the Airbourne? Something you can get in the US, I guess. But I'm heading to the US for this weekend. maybe I should get some.

The suitcase is finally packed. Gave some of the odds and ends to DH - like the cell phone and charger. Taken ONLY because all DD has is a cell phone and if we want to be able to communicate with anyone in Vancouver, we'll need it. It will be useless in Japan. Ended up packing clothes in my carry on because all the space was taken with my large cosmetic bag which I generally put in my carry on. But most of the stuff in it would never be allowed these days.

Oh yes, DH said one of his fllights was delayed because somebody had a bottle of wine in their suitcase which broke and got into the air-conditioning system for the plane. They had to do a repair. told people when they finally took off that they might smell some wine.

Good job starting the thread, McCool but the link goes to the Parking Lot forum rather than to the thread. If you want to go to the thread, I think you need to use this one - http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/640924/

Have a good night all. Mine will be a short one. Will check in when I can.

Night all

Well, I am still legally on the 17th. Why is it that I am constantly being the last post before midnight? Maybe because I don't start earlier enough?

Maria, the pic of the GGS, is precious. Okay, since I am very conscious of names, is this a Biblical reference? You know we need stats, weight, length, etc. Flowers are beautiful.

Okay Sarv, we didn't hear about dinner, so what was it, and who cooked it? LOL

tgif, have been intrigued that you call your mother mither, can you elaborate on this? Is this a regional, variation, cajun, etc? I am so glad that your "mither" has done the the necessary decisions, and that frees the siblings of those responsibilities. Although you may not agree with many on them, it does lighten your load. My mother has done nothing but a power of attorney, an administrator, and a living will. As to how she wants to live the last years has not been determined. She has stated several times, that she doesn't want to be a "burden" to any of her children. But other than that, no plans made. I cherish the time I spend with her, as at 87, time may be short.

Viann, Airborne, is an OTC product, herbal in nature, that claims to prevent colds, etc. I have used it, and cannot say for sure that that was what helped, had fewer colds this past winter than I can remember. Of course I take a multi vitamin and vitamin c daily. There is another similiar product, called Zicam, that is used the same way.

M5, went back for a second look at the kitty pics, makes me almost want to add another to my zoo, notice I said almost. Mr. B and Miss Boots sometimes are a handful, and I don't think I want to submit another cat to this household. Mr. B doesn't hurt Miss Boots, but loves to get her to run from him, then chases, with his "yipping, I'm on a trail voice".

DH and I went to take tomatoes to a church friend, and drove the animal car, took Mr B with us. He usually only gets to ride about 1/4 mile to my mother's, but we took him the distance of the whole county. The animal car is a 89 Cadillac, which is the only car where animals are allowed. DH's pickup, is for his dog, Abby. She goes with him everywhere, have seen her lay by his truck for days when he is away, waiting for him to come home and take her someplace!! One day last winter, DH was gone for about 3 days, and I always took Abby for a ride in DH's truck each day, so she would not miss him so much.

The dentist visit wasn't too bad. Getting those braces off, is the most glorious feeling that I know, right now. In 3 weeks will have the permanent cap, and will start work on a bridge for the other side. I may end up with a mouth full of artificial teeth, but they will be better than spaces. Darius, this is a regular dentist, who works in conjunction with an orthodontist, and peridonist. I have had just about every imaginable procedure that is known done to my mouth. I have seen DH suffer with his dentures, poor fit, etc, and am determined that I will postpone that as long as I can. I have good dental insurance, which will expire in 3 years, so I am getting everything done before that time.

McCool, good luck with the thread starting, the changing of the batons was hardly noticible. If everybody suffered through the first of July with me, then we can stand just about anything. Just don't take us to wrestling, star wars, or political debates, and we will be forgiving and suffer through.

I am getting a severe case of CRS. (a daily happening), but it is severe enough that I am going to go to bed and see if my brain regenerates during the night! LOL.

~~~~ frantically, to all I have not mentioned by name. Hope tomorrow gives me more time to sit and chat.
Good Night Gracie.
Airborne is sold in most pharmacies in the US. The key is to take it BEFORE you go on the plane and in crowds . I always take it when I'm feeling puny...helps me. Have a wonderful trip and Happy Anniversary
